I have have horrible luck with men. When I finally think I have found a good one he will not get a job. does any one have a suggestion as to how I can get him off the couch and helping us ?

The only GOOD advice we all can give you, you say you do not want to hear it. So what else is there to say. Are You happy now? No. If you were happy you would not be on here complaining and looking for advice. So getting rid of a looser like him, how can that make YOU more unhappy? He is very happy, he could not have it any better, he has you and your mother both looking after him and he doe's not have to do anything. I could just about say I would love to have it as good as he has but NO I would not for I would not think I was much of a man if I would not get off my butt and pay my way in life and support my family. The only way getting rid of him that you would be unhappy is you would not have a man to keep you happy in the bedroom for a short while and that can be fixed in a very short time as there is a lot more true good men out there to take care of that. Sorry to be so blunt but you asked for TRUE help. That is the Truest and Best advice help I can give you. Show him the door. Then there will be room for you to get a good man in your life. Good Luck

You cannot get him off the couch. You need a new man. Helping us? Do you have children? You really need a new man. You cannot make him work and if he won't then he probably never will. Get rid of him. You deserve better than that. Imagine what life would be like with him. You will have to struggle, YOU WILL HAVE TO SUPPORT HIM, you will have to do without. You need a man not another child. If you have kids do you really want them to see this and to think that it is normal? The kids come first and if he won't work money is being spent on him that is being taken away from them. A selfish man is not a good man. A good man would want to take care of you. A good man would not be lazy. He is not a good man. A good man would want to take care of your children. Good luck to you girl.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to encourage him to get a job. He will get one if and when he is ready.
After dating for a few years, I realized you can NOT change people. Get to know yourself first. This will help you to understand what you can and can not tolerate. Once you do that, take heed to the warning signs BEFORE you invest in the relationship.

Whatever made you think he was a good one? I would think being gainfully employed would be high on your list of Things A Good One Has, along with an education, basic literacy, a sense of humour, and a sexual organ of the appropriate size and shape.

It isn't something you can force him to do.If he is living with you then you are part of the problem by paying for his way of life.Put everything that belongs to him in a hefty bag and put it outside.Then find a guy with a job.I don't know what your looking for in a man but it isn't money I guess.Good luck.

well if you love him i know it is hard....but ask your self what do you want in life????? SOMETHING OR NOTHING????
because in order to have stuff, go out, pay bills, vaction,nice cloths,cars, just everthing cost money and let him know he is not your child to take care of he is your man and if he can't be a man and get a job then get out!!!!!! My bf has a few good hard working single men that i can hook you up with goodluck
