Obviously, it's inappropriate if you don't even know them.
They are trying to catch your attention.
Explain to them kindly and firmly that they have a long way to go before learning what the word LOVE actually means (friendship on fire!).

how can they love you if you don't know them......if you don't know them then they don't know you and while I do believe in "love at first sight"........it is only able to REALLY grow if you have the opportunity to know that person.
