I went clubbing last weekend and got into a fight with my boyfriend. I normally do not drink, and had 4 straight shots of bacardi. I vomitted most of it and passed out. Anyhow, i slept 3 hrs of it and when i woke up, i was very upset and depressed so i took 20 extra strength unisom sleeping pills (50 mg each) and 6 codeines on an empty stomach. I acted crazy, hallucinated, eyes bulged out, black outs, pale skin, however i did not go to the hospital. I was dizzy and fell so many times that i injured my jaw. My family took care of me, cuz i only told them about the codeine overdose and not alcohol or sleeping pills. It's been 5 days since then and i'm lucky to be alive. I feel very weak and tired, and i've been sleeping a lot. Do you think i will be fine? Will this effect me in long term?

I think you will be ok. You were lucky because you could have died. I won't suggest that again since you did try to commit suicide. No one is worth your life. Next time find a healthy way to cope.

It's difficult to OD on pills I think. I've tried on my thyroid meds. I took as many as I could before my gag reflexes and nausea kicked it and I couldn't swallow anymore. (Think it was around 20 or so). The room just was extremely spinning and felt like I was is a deep haze and walking on a cloud, felt lightheaded, nauseated, but never threw up. I laid in bed for about 4-5 hours hoping that death would take me, but it didn't. Next day had a bit of a headache, was thirsty, and felt the urge to pee but not much was coming out when I would go. Got blood work done and apparently it wasn't enough to do anything serious. Looking for a way with limited resources to end my life. Only have my thyroid pills. Cutting the wrists takes to long and yeah. Hanging...I don't have a tall enough closet (in a studio), wish I had a gun but not even sure how to obtain one legally and the process.

You might want to check with a doctor to see whether there are any after effects of what you took, additionaly you might want to reevaluate your relationship if conflicts are driving you to take chemicals to aleviate your problems. I've done the same thing with alcohol when my relationship went south and more than a few times have come close to killing myself. Take it from me, no relationship is worth that. Love yourself first!

i think u will be fine, but u have to understand we all hurt and most of us has thought of killing ourselves exspecially me the one thing that helps me is waiting. yes its hard but killing ur self has no time limit. give it an hour, give it a day , give it a week . hopefully ur thoughts will change and you will see something to live for. best wishes

Abusing pills like that can cause liver damage.

I'd get some blood work done if I were you.
