I work really close to a girl who thinks her dad is an idiot, and answers him back and argues with him. She is 25. I now find myself getting frustrated with her and her attitude. I sometimes now snap back at her. This is not even my style. I been working closely with her 3 months. What should I do? (I can't find another job, she is my business partner)

Just tell her that You would prefer to concentrate on work and her bringing her personal life to the work place is distracting.

This has nothing to do with religion but her relationship with her dad has nothing to do with you. If she asks for your help in the situation then you can give her your opinion but other than that keep your opinion to yourself. She is 25 if she wants to argue with her dad that is between him and her not you. You shouldn't snap at her she has done nothing to you. She is your business partner and that is it so keep it that way. Next time she wants to talk to your about her dad, if she has even done so anyway, tell her you would perfer not to know. It is as simple as that.

Did you ever consider that maybe her dad really IS an idiot? Just because someone is your parent doesn't mean that they're NOT an idiot.

Tell her she annoys the hell out of you, and tell her to stop with her childish attitude. She's 25, not 5. If she doesn't like her father, then that's her personal problem, not yours.

They probably have issues that go deeper than whatever you are hearing them argue about. Just accept that some people have less than perfect relationships with their parents - it's her own personal problem, not yours.
