I can never wake up to my alarms, somehow i turn them off (i have 3) without realizing and when i wake up and see that they were all turned off, it's weird. Also when i'm in tired mode, if i actually do semi-wake up, i can't make good judgements, like all i want to do is sleep. But then when i'm completely awake i feel bad for sleeping.
Today i have the day off and I slept from 10pm-9am. Then after I had taken a shower I sat back on my bed and fell asleep right away until 1pm! What's going on? I need to get my life fixed so that i can get on sleeping schedule of getting up at 7am everyday but it's not working!

First of all, move the alarms farther away from your bed so that you would have to get up and walk to shut them off.

It also might be possible that you have developed sleep apnea or narcolepsy. That would require being tested in a hospital sleep lab. Please consult your Doctor about this.

Perhaps you should have a sleep study done. Sounds like you're not getting quality sleep. It could be health related such as apnea or overstimulation.

Also helpful things:
No daytime naps
No caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods or excercise for several hours before sleeping.
Go to bed at the same time nightly and arise at the same time daily to try to create a pattern
Use ure bed for only bed oriented things (sleep sex)
Block out distracting noises and lights
Set your temperature to cool (cold and hot are not conducive for sleep)
Try warm milk or a warm bath just before.
Clear your mind of worries.
If you can't fall asleep in 15-20 minutes, get back up and find something relaxing. You'll usually get tired faster than lying there and trying to force sleep.

I feel for you, I've spent my entire life like that before I realized, I should just work night shift. Sleep better during the daylight it seems......
That and the drugs..... :)

2 things come to my mind - both which will require a consultation w/ your doctor and diagnostic testing. 1) You could be anemic. Have your doctor order a CBC. 2) a sleep study may be beneficial to you to see if there is any reason (sleep apnea, etc) why you are not sleeping like you should and thereby causing you to be so tired all of the time.

Beside going to the doctors which I think you may want to do, I would try drinking a lot of water, taking vitamins and exercise . I know you said you were tired, but if you force your self to go to the gym you will have more energy.

Have a doc check out your blood levels of everything, especially thyroid. Could be chronic fatigue. Maybe you could do a sleep study. I have m.s. and those hours are normal for me.
