I feel for you. Without your belief in the skydaddy you would view yourself as nothing more than a coincidental, purposeless miscarriage of nature, spinning round and round on a lonely planet in the blackness of space for just a little while before you and all memory of your futile, pointless, meaningless life finally blinks out forever in the endless darkness. If you need to believe in the concept of god to give meaning to your life go ahead, just accept the fact that some people have moved beyond that.
(ps. Tx Guy is an idiot)

a million. The Gods have been created as an excellent form of the religious beings, carved from the spirit around everywhint via the collective awareness of the primitive tribes. 2. Jewish adult males for the period of the Bronze Age, after which an ultraconservative Roman guy (Paul). 3. because of the fact Christianity is a jewish fringe cult became universalist faith. Is a heresy of judaism which became exported to the a lot. 4. because of the fact the two he's no longer all-powerful, or would not care. 5. you're assuming there's a one hundred% actuality. there's no longer. there's no "genuine faith", no "genuine god" (there are various). 6. They kinda make greater sense than heaven and hell. There are arguably been some thoughts that have been preserved by using reincarnation. that is how the Tibetans decide on their Dalai Lama. 7. probable, as they are good human beings, no sane God woud punish them.

I think it is really sad that you think life is futile, pointless, or meaningless for anyone who doesn't believe in Creator-God. Those of us who are unbelievers certainly wouldn't categorize our lives that way, at least I don't.
Some of the greatest minds in history have been atheists, who have given our world amazing leaps in scientific discoveries that have made our lives so much better. Everything from technology to medicine.
Myself, and all the other atheists I know personally, are involved in our families and communities, reaching out to others through volunteer work with the homeless, battered women, natural disaster relief, work with AIDS victims, etc., etc. that will have a lasting impact on the lives of other people long after we are gone. We are mothers, fathers, teachers, doctors, firemen.... We take the time to spread love and goodwill to others, and generally try to make the world a better place. We may or may not succeed, but we know that our lives will not be lived in vain simply because we do not pledge allegiance to a supernatural being, and we don't waste our lives sitting around waiting to die just so we can be reunited with him.

I do believe in a God (though I doubt our thoughts on God are anywhere near the same), but how can you judge those that do not believe?
"Judge not lest you be judged."
It takes all kinds to make the world go around and I believe that God made us to be all different (remember the Tower of Babel?) and that without people being different then how could we truely learn to "love thy neighbor" and to "turn the other cheek"?
I, myself, find what you say as very closed minded.

Hmmm talk about hubris. It is possible for we human beings to believe in a life after death--in a going on. Most of us simply have a more "what dreams may come" view of the afterlife--rather than the view you have that includes this vengful psychotic deity. Some of us are just a bit more logical and reasoned that you.

A perfect description of reality. Except for the pointless and futile part. That would only apply to people who hate life and do nothing but sit around waiting to die to be with their imaginary sky daddy.
Congrats.

I don't need to invent a creator to give myself a purpose. If you need to justify your existence with some kind of endgame scenario then go ahead. Just don't push your mythology on me.

I agree with you 100%.
Now you start to understand the truth.
It seems you have scared yourself into inventing a god and an afterlife for yourself.

I disagree with the wording, but that is pretty much what it is. Why do you need a crutch?
brother_manuel, I think you successfully called her on her BS! It seems to have shut her up for now! Well done!
