I'm sorry I don't understand the question.

Are you saying you feel robots if they existed should be allowed to kill people?

It seems like you are. I guess this is what passes for logic in the mind of a theist.

I'd also point out that we're a kind of machine that can program ourselves, morality is a program a healthy well adjusted human is running continually.

Are you also saying that without your religious beliefs you'd freely steal, murder and consider nobody but your own selfish goals? Surely that says more about you than about morality in general.

That the programmed machine choses to act socially in concert with other machines.

But then on the other hand, why would you think that man is a sophisticated, programmed machine? I'd think that it would be more accurate to call humans a social organism.

If people were robots (but we are not) we wouldn't NEED laws for them, silly!

According to Asminov, the rules are clearly stated for robots already.

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

You really need to open a book now and then.

Well, the basis of the assumption is all wrong so there are holes,in the logic, big enough to drive a Mack truck through.
Even as an exercise in debating I could not wrap my mind around the concept!

Where are you getting this rubbish from? Programmed by who? Theists are the ones who have a higher being that created them.

Atheists do not remotely think along any of the lines you are posting.

Concensus. We give certain people the power to make laws. We are held accountable to those laws. Everyone is held to the same standards (i.e. the law) regardless of their personal opinion on the matter.
