Actually, the hair helps the sweat to evaporate, both underarms and on the upper lip. Palms of the hands get sweaty feeling because there is no hair on them to aid in evaporation.

Eliminating the hair will not lessen body odor or sweat. Be sure that you are showering often, and try different soaps to see if one in particular makes a difference.

I have always perspired profusely, and started at age 15 using a deodorant made by Mitchum. I have used it for over 40 years, and it has worked well. They have a men's line as well as a women's line. I highly recommend that you try it, or something else if what you are using does not work for you. Good luck

From what I understand hair will not affect the amount that you sweat or body odor. Sweat glands are located in the skin therefore hair shouldn't affect it. For example look at all the bald athletes, they still have sweat pouring down their heads. Also, unless necessary stick to a deoderant instead of a antiperspirant. The aluminum in anti-p might have long term health consequences.

Odor is caused by bacteria, so smelly armpits come from bacteria from sweat being on the hair.
But, as a woman I shave my armpits and I still stink from sweating.
