Central Park is in the center of the city, thus *Central* Park.
Or if you're not from NY, let me put it in terms you'd understand.
-18 blocks from Times Square
-about 80 blocks from the WTC site
-across the street from the Plaza Hotel and 5th Avenue

It's in the middle of the city. The "city part" (your words) would be on all four sides of it. So, I'd say it's across the street.

It's pretty hard to miss. It's a huge and beautiful park. There is a zoo in it that is small but very nice.
You really cannot miss it. It's in Manhattan. It's between everything. I believe it's the only place you'll see trees, grass, and fountains. It is enormous.

You can't miss it. It's right in the middle of the city. If you must, use a map.
