When he says he is the way and stuff I think that means he is how you are supposed to be. Be like him and you'll do good.

I don't think Jesus was meant to be the go to man to get to God, I think he came to teach us how to be directly connected to God.

Thoughts?

Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to The Father, but through ME." John 14:6

Through Christ's passion, death, and resurrection, we are empowered by the Holy SPirit to do the will of the Father. Jesus is the " only door" to Heaven, becuase he is the sinless God-Man, THe Savior, LOrd of the world. Jesus empowers us and sets the example, but only because of Jesus (lived a sinless life) can we go to heaven. God bless.

John 14:6 has Jesus saying:
"No one comes to the Father except through me."
I'd say that makes him the go-to man, wouldn't you?
1 Timothy 2:5 adds:
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus."
That doesn't sound like going DIRECTLY to God.
BTW Doing good is not the main point of being a christian.
Matthew 28:19,20 is the main point.

Yahweh is the Great I AM of Exodus. If you will study carefully Yahweh and Jehovah is still Jesus. You're correct He taught us how to interact with Him but it is just one of the picture. We should imitate Christ and the highlight of His ministry is the death at cavalry to rescue us from sin and its penalty.

Jesus now sits at the right hand of the Father to advocate for us.

1 John 2

1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Jesus Clearly says it Himself; that the only way to get through to Yahweh, is through Christ Himself. Jesus came here to teach us how to have a relationship with Yahweh, and to witness the Truth to us, as well as become our way to salvation so that we may have a chance at attaining everlasting life after Armageddon.

First there was GOD, then he made his beloved man in his own image. Man subsequently strayed from GOD, and GOD so loved man and desired man to return unto him that he gave Jesus as a teacher of the way back to GOD, and as a sacrafice for man to be forgiven for his sinful ways and straying.
