This really depends on why you have bad credit! Do you realise that 77% of Americans have errors on their credit reports? I would really recommend another site I found that is off to a great start and Subscibe to thier RSS feed and Bookmark it. This is someone who has been through a lot and is constantly updating and adding to a site of VALUE on this subject. I can tell yo that being a victim of Identity theft myself, the website below looks really promising for those who have been there and it is being added to all the time. It looks like this person went through a stolen car, house fire, credit card fraud ID theft and having to start over and how to clean up your credit report and improve your credit rating while getting to challenge negative items on your credit report. I hope they will have a section where user input is welcome!!!!

This is a really difficult question to answer since you think the answer is to look harder. No, the answer is to figure out what raises your credit. Income, and paying all your bills on time is a good start. If stores won't accept you, perhaps you could get credit from online debtors, but I warn you, the interest is HIGH!! If you miss payments, guess what? Your credit gets worse! Which is the opposite of what you are seeking. Get a second job, change your debt-to-income ratio, pay your bills early and keep trying. Once you get credit somewhere, guard it with your life! Make your payments early and your credit WILL improve. But it takes time and effort.

If you have bad credit, you shouldn't be thinking of buying more furniture and clothing. You should be working on fixing that bad credit.

A low credit score affects more than just the interest rate on loans. It also impacts the cost of car insurance and can keep you from getting certain jobs.
