This is probably the worst day ever. for me.
I got on the bus and realise i'd left my journal at school (a journal is a book that you get and you keep homework recorded in it etc).
It was too late to go back.
I had 4 pieces of homework in that journal, all to do for Monday.
I also have some coursework to do, so I carried it all in a big blue folder. However when I got off the bus & turned the corner, my coursework fell out onto the pavement, cars flied by and the paper rolled off into the road, I picked up as mcuh as I could and ran off to get the train home.
As if my day couldn't get any worse I ended up crying on the way off the train and to my house (and i got a lot of weird looks may i add.)
And i realised that the three most important pieces of my coursework had gone and flied off (before, when I dropped it all on the pavement.)
On Monday I know nobody will believe me and my teachers will say "its not good enough."
I've had enough! I can't please everybody!

And also, my teacher told me to go and give my counsellor and a few of my friends a ring ('cause im not so good on the social side of things.)
But I can't, not with all this homework i've got to try to remember!! I can ONLY JUST remember what to do for my english homework, but the rest is a blank! I dont know what to do! And I can't fnish my coursework cos i dont have any glue, and i've lost half of the sheets!!

you have school Monday? It's Columbus Day. Anyways, assuming this is grade school not college, have your parents call or write you a note asking for an extra day to complete the assignment. Just be ready to do it all if your instructors agree. :)

Wow, you had a bad day, no doubt about it. Calmly think it through: is there a friend you can call that can share/copy notes or instructions for the work with you? Meet them somewhere. Also, can you turn around and get the train back to school and pick up your missing journal? If not, maybe the same friend can help you out. There's a motto I live by: "Improvise, adapt and overcome"! (taken from the movie "Heartbreak Ridge") You can get through this. What's the worst that can happen? You'll show up unprepared? Ask your teachers/professors for a time extension. Explain what happened and what you did to resolve the problem, they'll understand more than you might think.

First of all, relax! In the grand scheme of things, this is not a big deal and I'm sure your teachers will understand.

Notes can be replaced and homework can be turned in late if necessary. If your teachers have a problem letting you submit anything late, complain to higher authorities.

Do you have the contact information of any of your classmates? Maybe you can give them a call and see if you can make copies of their notes or at the very least see if you can find out what your HW is.

The important thing is to avoid panicking. Settle down for a bit and then make those phone calls. If you can get some of your work done over the weekend, then that's good. Remember, it's not life or death so try to calm down a bit, ok?

Call or e-mail a classmate and see if you can get the assignments from him/her and borrow his/her assignment sheets to photocopy (if they haven't already been completed). If you can, go back to the school to get your assignments there, even if it's inconvenient. You might even try e-mailing the teachers to see if they will send you another copy of the homework.

If these are the only homework assignments you miss all term, you'll probably be fine.
