I have been coughing constantly for the past two days. I have bronchitis, have been to the dr, and been put on cough medicine that isn't really working. All the coughing gives me a horrible headache, kills back, neck, and diaphragm, and has me almost crying afterwards because of the pain. I normally have a very high pain tolerance, but I feel horrible. I'm sick, coughing, can't talk, and achey. What can I do for the pain?

Drink tons of hot fluids to soothe the throat and make sure to get at least 1 nap. My little brother had bronchitis so he had to constantly do this. Try to persuade someone to massage your back neck and where ever else there is aches. and finally take baths that are more cold than they are warm because I'm guessing you also have at least a mild fever because that always come with the aches.

It might be ammonia.Have the doctor x-ray your lungs especially if it's been going on for awhile because they have a different medicine for ammonia then they do bronchitis.
For the time being thou take a nice hot bubble bath maybe add some lavender calming drops and and relax in the bath, not only will it help your sore back but the vapor is really good for your lungs and while you're in the tub maybe sip on some green or chamomile tea. Also avoid any spicy food or food that is high in acid.

Good luck and feel better soon!

You need to call the doc back and ask for a prescritpion cough medicine and something for the pain. Call your doc back as he may want to see you again as you may need more than he has already given you for your bronchitis.

Ibuprofen 4 pills - 800 mg
You need to call the dr.
I think you're having asthma attacks.

Get some prescription cough syrup with Codeine - that works awesome for what you describe. Call the doc and have them call it in for you.

I echo the above answers...you definitely need to call your doctor. More than likely, you need a chest x-ray.

Hope you feel better soon!
