last christmas my boyfriend went in for an MRI and they found a major blood clot in his head. they said it was applying pressure to the brain and htat it would rupture so he needed emergency brain surgery. he came home on christmas day adn went in to the hospital on the 22nd so it was relativly quick but to this day it stilll really upsets me. i even cry about it still. i've tried to talk to him about it and that doesn't even help. he needs to go in for jaw surgery soon but it scares me even more because of the frightning experiance i had the last time. please help me on dealing witb this.

You've had a very scary experience that fortunately had a happy ending that you didn't have to wait too long for. I understand your anxiety but you should talk to your physician about it and maybe even a therapist who can help you sort your feelings out so that you are calmer and less worried. You wouldn't be normal if you weren't worried or anxious about this.

If he is OK then be thankful for the skilled surgeons who took care of him. Having to experience a life threatening surgery of someone you love can be very emotionally jarring. What you need to do is find someone who can offer you emotional counseling especially when dealing with surgeries. Plus, if your bf is being calm try to draw from his strength. If he isn't being calm then he needs you to be calm.

What is it that upsets you? The surgery is over, right?! And all went well...? So....what is the problem??
