starbucks have a variety of coffee, from Guatemala's antigua coffee to kenya coffee to decaf Sumatra just want to know if you have any idea what coffee they use for their normal coffee they serve, cappuccino, latte or whatsoever too, hehe...and one more i know these coffees taste different but how does it taste if you make a latte, cappuccino out of guatemala or other coffee blends, is it good, or is it more advisable to drink it pure or just leave everything to starbucks or any coffee shop.

I used to work at Starbucks, I just thought I'd start off by saying that. =) For the espresso drinks we use Espresso Roast coffee. This is a darker roast coffee and it just makes sure that all the espresso type drinks taste the same by using the same beans to make it but you could use any coffee to make espresso. Espresso (the drink itself, not Espresso Roast coffee) is different because it requires a finer grind of coffee and usually tastes better if made with a stronger darker roast. Espresso is usually used to put into a drink that is mostly milk and flavoring so the actual espresso needs to be able to stand out and blend in. If you used Breakfast Blend you would have a very blah espresso that wouldn't be very good. However some people prefer a coffee with more acidity so you might try a Komodo Dragon or Guatemala Antigua. Doesn't really matter but you will be better off with a darker roast.
BTW: they don't really have a regular coffee, they change out the coffee that they brew ever week so their "regular" coffee could be anything.

This really is an opinion question. When I say coffee, I mean coffee... black with no sugar. The thought of putting vanilla or chocolate into coffee makes me shudder.
However there are people who like "coffee desserts". If you are willing to take the time and energy you could probably learn to make exotic coffee drinks.
My hubby sometimes makes expresso and cappuccino for friends. I have never developed a taste for either.

I really don´t know what they use but I do know that I can make a better cup of coffee at home by grinding my own beans. Coffee is basically arabica or robusta and though I don´t doubt that there are some better coffees than others I don´t think that it worth paying a high price for these, especially if you go for the cappuchinos etc, as these have so much milk that you could use any coffee and not notice the difference. If you make coffee at home use arabica beans and grind them yourself(not too fine).

Starbucks does not use regular coffee for their specialty drinks, those are made with ground Espresso bean. They have a featured coffee of the day that is just regular coffee you can order and add cream/sugar to your taste. Lets have one [_]? CHEERS !

starbucks uses the espresso roast for the bar drinks (lattes, cappuccinos...) the only reason they use espresso roast is for a consistent flavor. but you can use any blend to make espresso b/c espresso is basically just concentrated coffee.

For their cappuccino, latte, etc...those are espresso-based drinks, so they use dark roast espresso beans.
