Depends on if they charge you as a juvenile or as an adult.
If they charge you as a juvenile, then the record of the case will be sealed in juvenile court.
If you get charged as an adult, your recorded will follow you around for ever. Getting a conviction expunged is not an easy process. Many felony crimes do not even qualify for it. You would need to contact the Attorney Generals Office of your state to learn the process and what crimes are even eligible.
If it is eligible, it will take you several thousands of dollars, a lawyer and many court appearances and a mountain of paperwork to get it done.

Okay, here goes. In California, you can get your record expunged at the end of probation, 1203.4 Penal Code. If you have done everything you suppose to do, are not on probation and did not go to prison (as opposed to local county jail time).
Also, if the crime is what we call a wobbler, that is a crime chargeable either as a felony of a misdemeanor, you can get the conviction, sometimes, reduced to a misdemeanor by a 17(b) Penal Code, and then get the 1203.4 motion done.
This restores all you civil rights, except even if it get reduced to misdemeanor after conviction, you may never own a gun for your entire life. That is a Federal Law.
Now if you are tried as a minor, then when probation ends, your records get sealed.

Depends on the State. Here in Missouri, 17 is considered an adult as far as criminal law goes. So the record will not be sealed and expunged and you will be subject to any punishment that a 29, 35 or 50 year old would receive.

Since you are 17 years old, basically, you are considered an ADULT in most all states. So if you do the CRIME, YOU WILL DO THE TIME!!
You need to use this experience to REFLECT on what you have done and IF you want a life of CRIME, CHANGE your ways. APOLOGIZE to the party YOU STOLE the credit card from, GET A JOB and REPAY the amount and then some to the person who's credit card you used!! Learn from what you did!!! Whenever you do wrong, YOU WILL NEVER PROFIT FROM THAT WRONG!!! There is a person that can help you though and his name is CHRIST JESUS!! Get on your knees and PRAY for MERCY from the JUDGE since you were so STUPID!!

Well, this should serve as a very valuable lesson to you, do not steal and or use other peoples property.... Speak to the prosecutor the the judge in your district. They will have the answers to your question. Or even better, speak with your attorney, they will tell you the procedures to take if at all possible to have sealed. God bless****
