Heard a lot of mixed reviews on this boat. This is the only week we can go. I am 23 and my bf of 3 yrs. is 24. We like to go out and have a good time, but do not want too much of the college party scence. We found this trip because it was so close to CT and not much goes out of SC. The drive won't be too far compared to other cruises out of Miami. Has anyone had experience on this boat. This is our first cruise, and I am afraid that this boat is very old and boring. We want to relax and have a good time.

This is not the Royal Carribbean Cruise Line. This is NCL. :)

About 6-8 months ago, the Majesty had ALOT of problems. One of the engines that supplies power to the AC and things like that went down. Instead of correctly repairing it, they just patched it 2 or 3 times. It finally went out on the way back from a destination and passengers didn't have AC. They took the ship down for a few weeks and had to refund a bunch of money. It's back up now and the prices are cheaper to win customers back. I haven't heard of anymore problems since, though.

I have been on the Majesty - and although it is one of Royal's older and smaller ships, it is very nice.
You will find that the wait staff, bartenders and room stewards on Royal are all very friendly and helpful. Also alot of fun.
This will be perfect for your first cruise.
