i just lost 10 lbs and i want to keep it off over thanksgiving. i'm trying to lose more, but i don't expect to lose over this weekend (oh yeah, i'm from canada). should i skip dessert, even though it's one of the main things in my family's meals? for me it takes so long to lose the weight and i know that i'm able to put it all back on in one long weekend. any advice?

Eat smaller portions. You can eat whatever you want for Thanksgiving; just don't eat a lot of it. Be sure to exercise and stick with your diet on other days and you should be able to stay the same weight without a problem.

If you don't want to gain the weight, don't eat as much food in general, and make sure you continue to exercise while you're there (or before you leave and after you get home).
