Depraved as we are, we all have a hint of morality in us. Christians and Jews believe in no sex before marriage. But that doesn't prevent a non-Christian or non-Jew from believing the same thing. It's a question of what you value in life. Is sex special enough to share with one person for a lifetime, or do you see it more as an animalistic urge? Or is knowing someone for a month good enough?
Christians see sin as wrong, not because the bible says so, but because our hearts say it's wrong. Still, we struggle with the sin nature within us. And we struggle because we recognize this sin nature. I think that's what really sets us apart from others. The Holy Spirit really has a hold on us.

The long lists your answerers were piling up reminds me of what Jesus said about burdens being laid on people. Of course there is such a thing as sin that separates us from God, but if you start focusing on finding 'sins' you become moralistic and superficial, and end up following sets of rules.
Christianity is NOT about following empty rules. It's about a real relationship with God. This leads to fruits, you could say 'automatically'. It almost happens without you noticing.
If you focus on God he works his love, joy and peace in you. And if his love is in you, you don't want to do anything to harm anybody else or yourself, which is ultimately what sin is.
Edit: Mikenanda, if questioning is a sin then I and a lot of my Christian friends need to be really really worried... And then the book of Job wouldn't have been in the Bible.

I think that the 10 comandments cover it.
1 You shall have no other Gods before me.
2 You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
3 You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
4 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
5 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
6 You shall not murder.
7 You shall not commit adultery.
8 You shall not steal.
9 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s."
But I think that most people would agree on at least some of the ten.

Homosexuality
Pre-marital sex

drinking to excess, just lusting in your heart for another person, cussing, taking the Lords name in vain, any form of theft (even calling in sick when you are not is theft from your employer), lying,
probably many more. society tends to think they might be wrong, but they are just little tiny sins and no big deal.

Abortion is a human-rights issue
Please, let us ALL observe "Respect for Life" month in October, by praying for world peace and meditating on the taking of innocent lives.
1st) I have relatives in Iraq, and I pray a hedge of protection around them.
2nd) The nearest church to my home has a tombstone on it's front lawn, for the "unknown unborn innocent soul killed under the age of 9 months.". I pray for those precious gifts from GOD!
3) Third, my mom and brother both died of cancer, and I see the pink ribbons of support for those threatened by the "c" word worn this month by those who care.
Yes, we believe in God, even despite the worst horror this work can throw at us!
All 3 issues, above, are a "crisis of faith" for those involved (sadly drawing them away from the best thing in their life...God, who loves them.
Pray!
Prayer changes things!!! Christians generally agree that we are commanded to love others AND pray for them.
Disobedience is sin.
The Body of Christ, the united Christian believers of ALL "the church" are asked to observe "Respect Life" month in October.
The heritage of the Christian social doctrine is not limited to questions touching upon economic and political rights," they said. "It is concerned with human life issues -- abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, etc.
Catholic bishops have forcefully restated their church's opposition to abortion, casting it as...
"the fundamental human rights issue, for to diminish respect for the right to life of the unborn is tantamount to diminishing respect for life in all other contexts." (catholic which means universal)
