A so called mate friend acquantence of mine this week found that her cat had the runs if you know what I mean, anyway, one night the cat decided to sleep under the bedsheets, instead of on top of the bed. She awoke to find the cat at her feet, she was anxious to find him there, so she got out of bed and pulled back the sheets to discover the cat still had the runs and had left the evidence on the bottom sheets..... what steps can she take to sleep with ease... and not have ******* filled sheets. True story

If someone has to get on here and ASK what should be done, this young lady most likely shouldn't have a cat. This cat needs to be seen by a vet IMMEDIATELY. You need to know WHAT is causing the problem before you can CURE it. It could be worms, an intestinal infection, improper feeding (as in, giving the cat milk--YES, this WILL cause the runs, so will "people" tuna and/or the water or oil that it's packed in). It could be any number of things, but this cat needs a vet NOW. If this goes on for more than a couple of days, the cat could die from dehydration. Good luck in getting this sorted out.

Bit silly of her to allow the cat in the bed if it's had the runs!
She should be trying to find out what as upset the cat, if there has been no change in diet then she should take it to the vet!
Try giving it a spoonful of natural live yogurt with it's meals and tell her until she is sure it's OK she should keep it in the Bathroom or kitchen with a 'clean' litter tray over-night!

put the cat out at night. my cat had that but she was being sick in the house as well as having the runs, it got to the point that we had to take her to the vets and they gave us some medicine like stuff called Katalax and it like clears the insides of the cat out we used it for a few days on her and the problem went away.

Cure the cat of the runs and then it wont be a problem......also make sure that the cat can get to a litter tray as cats are very clean animals they can become distressed if they have no loo facilities ie garden or litter tray.

The cat may have renal failure. If he can't control his bowels and its very loose the cat needs to be seen asap by the vet, It's not normal for cats do have the s***s all the time and defiantly not to poo where they sleep. The cat is sick, get it to a vet.

you need to find out why the cat has the runs does it have worms? cats are usually very clean and private accidents like this would upset cat more than it upset your friend i think first thing she should do is find cause as to why and always make sure she has litter tray available.

Put a plastic sheet BETWEEN the bottom sheet and the mattress, at least you can protect the mattress that way. If you can't find a plastic sheet, a cheap shower curtain works fine.

find the problem - does the cat have worms or bacteria infection/? what is causing him to have diahrea??? did he switch foods??
see a vet immediately if there was any blood in it (take a sample)
keep the cat in a small room with a litter box.. I suspect the kitty has upset tummy, but if he goes outside it could be a sickness... monitor him till his stools are normal.

Well surely if any responsible cat owner would have taken the cat to the vet so determine why her cat had severe diarrhoea.
My kitten got diarrhoea and I took her to the vets straight away and she was given an antibiotic injection....end of story.
Tell your friend to get off her @ss and be a responsible cat owner and take the poor cat to the vet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This cat could become seriously ill and dehydrated!

1. Discover why the cat is ill , it might have worms or be fed unsuitable food
2. Put the cat out of the room at night
I think prevention is better than cure so I would sort out the cats tummy!
