I have noticed that a little group of die hard fundies are lively today on here spreading their gospel of venom against anything Catholic, I have to wonder if moderate Protestants find them an embarresment at all or has the past 40yrs of the Ecumenical movement been simply a waste of time, not to mention the hard work of the council of world churches.

Hello Sentinel.. :)

I am a fundie..but I consider anyone who asks Christ to be their Savior as a brother or sister..

Too many look upon once denomination..and not their hearts.. :(

I too used to think all Catholics were not saved..but it took me going to a woman's morning ministry..The speaker was a Catholic Monk..

He asked who wanted to come forward for prayer..so I went..when it came to my turn..he asked what I needed prayer for..I said forgiveness for thinking all Catholics were not saved.. :(

That was the first time I was ever slain in the spirit.. :)

By their fruits ye shall know them.. :)

Despite the understandable wars between catholics and protestants, I think we both have more in common with each other than we do with bizarre polytheists or with lunatic, hateful Muslim extremists.
I fear that fundamentalists of all religions tend to forget doctrines of charity and the hope of human improvement by the grace of love for their fellow man.

Looks like neither you nor I need to do anything about these people! They are doing a good job of embarassing themselves (even non-Catholics say so)! They are very quickly exposing themselves as ignorant loud-mouths, who can not back-up anything they say about the Catholic Church.

I have wasted 15 points asking that CJ character to refute anything in Catholic.com, he has not come forward with ANYTHING, I rest my case!

We might add c****d to the list, but nuff said.

To me the more hatred they show and the lies they spew, they are showing their hate for Christ and His Holy Catholic Church

As a fundy, I have no use for venomous attacks. But I do stand on the word of God. There are many Catholic beliefs that cannot be supported by the bible. I see the ecumenical movement as the precursor to the one world religion of the antichrist.

That being said, I have family members who are Catholic and on fire for Jesus. You see, it's not the religion that's important. It's not the doctrine either. The ONLY requirement for salvation is a heartfelt belief that only through Jesus can you get to heaven.

All this controversy just strengthens Satan's position.

I found them an embarrassment when I was among their number in "real life".

I'm now Catholic.

if I am a Christian, I would definitely find the Fundamentalists an embarrassment. they speak lies and I really can't understand how they could consider those lies as truth.
