If this is a brand new attitude, then it may not be Bipolar. Bipolar isn't ordinarily something that just comes out the blue. Has he started any new medication? If so, it could be a side effect.

Bipolar is when a person goes from extremely happy to extremely upset, then back to extremely happy in a matter of minutes or hours. There is no "in between" personality for bipolar people.

He could just be stressed.

bipolar is a constant changes of highs and lows everythings great one minute and everything is falling apart the next its a roller coaster of emotions that never end sounds more life hes got some underlieing frustration but anything is possible

He certainly does have a problem. It could be bi-polar, it could be- I hate to suggest this, but some drug addicts show symptoms like that, and so do some alcoholics.

Have you tried suggesting counseling to him?

Watch him carefully, Honey: He could be a danger to you. If you think he is, run.

No it just sounds like he's mad. Bipolar is when your mood constantly changes, like one minute you'll be happy and the next you'll be mad.
