So I have been told that when I go down to Lackland AFB in November when I finally see him I am not allowed to hug him or anything. Is that true? Also we have been told by his recruiter that he's not allowed to receive pictures...what's up with that?

no no no no. You will not be able to hug him or anything UNTIL he is released. Throughout the ceremony and such he will not even technically be able to look at you.

As for the pictures, as long as they are clean they are allowed, but know ahead of time, the drill sgt, are allowed to read their mail

You can hug him when you see him, just not until after the ceremony. As for pictures, my family sent me tons of pictures when I was at Basic, to be honest that is what got me through some days... opening my footlocker to see them it reminded me of what life was like before. I never had an MTI read my mail or any of the girls in my flight. The only time they open your mail is if its a package, because youre not really allowed to receive those.

no excessive PDAs.. that means a chaste kiss on the cheek, no tongues and no hugs that last more than a second or two.

the only pictures he can get are ones you wouldn't mind your grandmother seeing. HOWEVER he will not have room to store them for the most part.

you should be able to hug him once all the ceremonies are done.

You should be able to send him pictures in the mail, I was able to do so when my husband was in Marine Boot Camp.
