They dont want the guy showing his attention all the time and expecting reciprocation in return?

They like the "Bad Boys" as they call them better ?

who sit around and watch football instead of wanting to spend time with them, maybe cheat on them every now and then.

girls like guys like this why?

OKAY, PLEASE NOW DESCRIBE THE "PUPPY DOG" SCENARIO.

WHY WOULD A GIRL MAKE HIM TURN OUT THIS WAY?

WHY NOT RECIPROCATE HIS FEELINGS AND MAKE HIM FEEL MORE LIKE A MAN INSTEAD OF DEGRADING HIM LIKE THIS?

I found two websites that can solve you your problem.
I think the first one goes straighter to the point, though:

I tend to go for the 'macho' man. To be totally honest not sure why?? But I think it depends on your personality, I mean because i'm a bit boisterous and wild I tend to attract men that are similar. You wouldn't see a shy girl go out with a 'macho' man would you? I hate clingy men, i need my own space and I am a very secure person so I tend to go for men that are similar. Don't get me wrong I don't like men who treat me like dirt, it is nice to have some affection aswell but not over the top. I think in a relationship it's nice to have trust and for both of you to live your own lives, not have one control the other. Men who are clingy are jealous and possessive, and they are qualities I hate in a man.

A guy who is clingy is a guy who acts overly needy.

He blows up a girl's phone with calls and txts.
He always has to know what she's doing.
He tells her how beautiful she is or that he loves her 10000000 times a day.
He is emotionally dependant on her (he needs her constant reassurance of his value).

It's cool to like a girl and all, but a man who is clingy goes overboard. Usually the girl doesn't like him and he just doesn't get the picture.

People, not just women like challenges, and they also like their space. It's a very unattractive behavior for a person to act clingy, especially for a male to do so. Don't expect much success with women if you exhibit any of those "clingy" behaviors I mentioned above.

Men who have to always be around their gf, talk to her on the phone all the time, and need to know where they are at all times are clingy. They hate it because it smothers them, and they can't have their own lives. These guys are usually very insecure and/or possessive so they hate it when ANYONE talks to their gf and they find that annoying and probably a little pathetic. Girls can be like that too, and I hate when they are so I imagine girls hate it when guys are like that.

I would definitely also describe "clingy" as a guy who calls you every night, says things like "I need to see you and talk to you" and acts disappointed when you're too busy to see him, and you're NOT even his GF. I am dealing with this now and it is driving me crazy!!

Every couple should have their own time. Clingy guys want to spend every breath with their woman and it can seem smothering. It is unhealthy. Relationships should have together and seperate times. It's good for everyone.

I had the same problem with my soon-to-be ex-wife, always checking on you and God help you if you do something without them...my wife would cry and throw a fit if I tried going to a car club meeting or over to my friend's house. It's annoying and destructful for a relationship

A clingy man is one that won't let you go out on your own or with your friends without turning up or txting every 10 minutes. It's suffocating.

Women want men who are romantic and keep the relationship alive while still maintaining their own lives, careers and interests. Nobody wants a guy who calls up every three days, "You didn't call me" or hundreds of texts saying "Where are you?"

That sort of thing. Verging on stalkerish behaviour.

It's a guy that does not seem to have a life of his own and insists that you pay attention to HIM all the time . . . we don't like it because we want MAN in our life not a little boy that needs us 24/7.
