I'm close friends with a guy, and we often talk about our love lives, his Gf is in jail and he doesn't know whether to wait for her or not. He knows i'm struggling to get over my ex, he always flirts with me more than anyone else, he gets upset if i date someone else (i was with another guy for a month) and lately i've been wanting to get back with another ex, he is ashamed and always tries to distract me when i hang out with this ex. I fancied him at one point but i got over it, without me knowing, my friends asked him if he would ever date me and he said no, we're both so busy bla bla..what does he want from me then?

When i say he distracts me from the guy i want to be with he'll poke me if i get too intimate for him, like hug the other guy or whatnot, or he'll tickle me, and when i am not interested in anyone he'll hold my hand and hug me heaps.

He is either a little too protective or he really does want to be with you. Sit down and have a serious talk with him and find out how he really feels. You need to know one way or the other instead of playing a guessing game with him.

He wants you, but he is playing hard ball. The signs are so obvious. You stated that he said the both of you were too busy too date. Since when has that ever been an issue with anyone?? It seems that maybe he is afraid to express how he feels. Maybe the two of you can have dinner and talk about it.

He wants to date you, but doesn't want to lose his girlfriend. It is a form of control. If you are interested, then talk to him, if not move on and don't worry what he has to say, or do. Sounds like you care what he has to say and want to date him, if that is the case then open your mouth and let him know how you feel, or he will move on. Don't make a game out of it, be mature and talk.

Oh this must be the oldest one in the book. Tell him to get his act together, he has a girlfriend, he should sort his own life out and leave you to decide on yours. Be strong he may be a good friend, but honestly good friends don't treat each other like this.

He doesn't sound like a friend at all. Find another friend. This one is not good for you.

He either wants you or he doesn't, anything else is just playing games.

If he doesn't want to be with you than he has no right to try to keep you from finding happiness with someone else.

He doesn't own you, what do you mean he won't let anyone else have you? This isn't his decision. You see whoever you wish
