The United States has the policey , to not give into the demands of terrorist. For when we give into them, then we have lost.

Immigration reform is like this in such the same way. They refer to it as a comprimise, they break our laws, steal our resources, cause burdens on our schools and communities, and then they want us to comprimise, but I ask you what are they giving us ? So far all they have done is take from us.

Would making any deal with them, be the same as giving into the demands of terrorist ?

Jenn - I never said illegal immigrants were terrorist, I was only comparing terrorist demands to immigration reform, stop reading things into whatI'am saying. I also never said anything about where the illegal immigrants were coming from, so i don't know why you went their.

By the way, you are wrong, most illegal immigrants are from Mexico.

Marilolli - The U.S. has a policey on migrant farm workers, I belive this to be a good program, but those that try to weasel around it will even damage the country in that as aspect, as well as cause human rights issues for individuals that would try to be a migrant worker legally.

I for one believe our existing laws and policies could be adjusted without compromising our values, and do not require wholesale change.

The reason to do it is to make them better and more effective...not because the Mexican gov't is doing everything in their power to send their poor over to the US to take care of so they don't have to reform themselves....

I don't think it does. From what I know of history, what is happening has happened before, long ago. Immigrants were brought or lured here so businesses could have cheaper labor. This goes pretty far back.
Globalization has caused a lot of woes. We the people cannot afford to bail everyone else out of their problems. We can offer assistance but that's about it. It has to stop at some point.
The burden of illegal immigrants is being spread wide. Would you feel the same if your car was damaged by an illegal immigrant while driving? I've been in cars that have been struck twice by illegals. One blamed us and neither asked how we were. One took off. Apparently, these 2 men thought that they didn't need to stop at an intersection or for a family of ducks even though all the other cars stopped. The family of ducks in question made it across fine. Our car was the only one struck in the back. My grandmother was hurt. The illegal was young, immature, uneducated, and a total jerk. I wanted to punch him and I'm not a violent person. I was upset about his attitude and I saw in the mirror that he had plenty of time and room to stop. He made the deliberate decision not to because he didn't think he needed to. These may be isolated cases. However, I have seen more articles and more complaints about the rise of illegals driving. A dog was run down brutally in an area where there are known to be lots of illegals driving. Where this happened, that would never have occurred 10 years ago when the illegal population was inconsequential or nonexistent. It's a small, affluent town.

Absolutely not. You sound like quite a racist.
You seem to think all immigrants are terrorists and criminals. Not all immigrants break the law, steal our resources, or cause burdens on our schools and communities. There are actually plenty of people who were born here who are criminals as well. Only illegal immigrants are criminals, and then only because they broke the law by immigrating illegally. Some of them may break other laws as well, but the vast majority of them are mostly harmless. You made absolutely no distinction between illegal immigrants and legal immgrants in your question. You're probably one of those racist idiots who assumes that all hispanic people are illegal aliens.

And by the way, zala3, thank you for that racist rant you answered the question with. I have just reported you for violating the community guidelines. Now get back to your Ku Klux Klan meeting, you racist idiot.

No I don't think so. Immigrants are a real benefit to America, we are a nation descended from immigrants. We need immigration reform to improve the quality of immigrants. Without reform we are getting millions of undesirable mexicans who many were criminals in their own country before breaking our immigration law. We need to first remove ALL illegals and then start a reform that would include increasing the number of immigrants allowed and decreasing the wait time and expense. We need to enforce rules on competency in English language and on US history and customs. We should NOT compromise or take ANY advice or threats from other governments. We NEED good immigrants to become citizens. We DON'T need criminals who disrespect our country and flag and are here only to take our money and sent it to Mexico.

First I would have to disagree about the way we fight terrorists - the current rules of engagement are so ridiculous that we are partially giving into them.

Socialism is also against American values and it keeps expanding.

For some reason we are giving into mexico's demands - and yes, that is like giving into the demands of terrorists.

well... most immigrants are here to support their families... but I don't see them as deliberately causing problems within society or as a parasite. People wait for years to get into this country legally. Illegals bypass the system by jumping the border, and I find this wrong. I have spoken to several other legal immigrants and they are furious that they had to go through such a long process, learned English, and came over with documentation while other people are just running, jumping, or swimming over.
I think most of them have good intentions, but it's not helping employment for Americans. Businesses are hiring illegals for substandard pay because they can, and in the meantime the illegal is a placeholder for an honest American's work. In certain places in the country you can't even get a job at McDonald's because the illegals have taken over.
Migrant farm workers are okay. They are legal anyway.
People who say they do the jobs we don't want to, need to watch "Dirty Jobs" sometime.
And kudos to that veteran in Mesa for ripping down that Mexican flag. It's about time someone had the cojones to do it.

Good question :)

A comment to Martin A.....when you say "illegal immigrant from PR", I assume that by PR, you mean Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is a U.S. commonwealth, and Puerto Ricans have been U.S. citizens since 1917. This not only makes the scumbag who stole and wrecked your bike LEGAL, but also a CITIZEN.

Most of the reform proposals require that any immigrant who gets converted from illegal to legal status will have to pay back taxes and additional penalties. It's really more like offering a plea bargain to a criminal than caving in to the demands of terrorists.

I think you're also focusing on the bad things that illegals do. What they have been giving to us is cheap labor. If an American citizen offered to do some work for you for 3/4 the price of anyone else you could find, you would probably be happy about that (at least I would), rather than complain that they might drive down the wages of the person you would have hired otherwise. Also, a lot of them do pay social security taxes, and have no chance of ever collecting their benefits back out, so that's another contribution.

i do no longer advise to be the voice (or typer?) or reason right here, yet immigration is in no way an infection. all people who might associate immigration to an infection is obviously naive and has no wisdom of what this u . s . became geared up upon. a great form of folk prefer to declare to be proponents of our u . s .'s beginning place whilst it is composed of gun possession, or freedoms or liberties, yet a great form of prefer to ignore the reality that we are a u . s . of immigrants. Why? via fact this may be an inconvenience. specific, help the concern-unfastened innovations that suitable accomodate you, who cares approximately much less fortunate human beings. it is so ignorant to even take under consideration shutting down the border. I understand that so stated as unlawful immigration can placed extra stress on the easy taxpayer, yet as u.s., the country of probability, it relatively is our accountability to welcome them, and our government's accountability to make sure that appropriate steps are taken to suitable handle the region. a great form of American's are focused on helping out different worldwide places, yet whilst it is composed of their front step, they like to ignore it. in case you're so infuriated on the upward push in taxes that it takes to welcome immigrants, why do no longer you placed stress on our government to end spending 1000's of billions of greenbacks on a conflict that became completely unecessary. there is this type of double in many cases happening on themes like this and it sickens me. a great form of folk prefer to instruct this right into a political subject, even though it relatively is a ethical subject. it fairly is the awesome component to do. Welcome those human beings, help them, and consistent with probability your eyes will open to that actuality. As for "Mr. the international will end guy", cool down. I assure you the international isn't ending. P.S. seem at my avatar, i understand a component or 2 approximately immigration and a few of your comments are disgraceful and insulting.

Yes.
I am a born and raised American. My wife is Cuban, but was brought here legally by her parents when she was 6 mo old.
Her and her parents all say they should ALL be sent home.
IMO, put up a 10 foot razor wire fence, and snipers every mile. That will keep those f*#$s out.

I could be biased since my motorcycle was just stolen last, and wrecked (no insurance) by an illegal from PR. He was let go. The officer, who was also from PR, said they had no case. DAMN IMMIGRANTS!
