If I were to make 25,000 in a year, about how much would i lose in taxes (before tax returns). I'm about to change jobs for a major pay cut (like more than half) and i need to know this before I bounce from the job i despise.

NY has an income tax and there is a city tax as well.
go to the NY tax board for this
in 1986, was in NJ and offered a job in NYC.Even with the increase in pay and it was good cash. I declined The cost of the taxes and the cost of working in NYC transit, food was too much for the increase in pay
consider this before you will be regretful of the final decision
