What if no organised religion is correct and you are all just contradicting each other and causing wars over your views and causing alot of people heartache in your efforts to out do your opposition. Why do people have to believe in one truth?
Surely what any one person believes in their mind is enough and no one should have to fit into some regime of worship!

I absolutely believe that all religions are cults and to join them you are being brainwashed to some degree!!

Or am i blasphemus, surely following rules from a 2000 year old book is just foolish.

I'm impressed with the response, i thought i was going to get slated for questioning religion.
The thing that annoys me or that i can't agree with is that there are set out 'rules' that you must follow. Surely it is each to their own and may you be judged at the end. it is up to you if you want to live a good life.

They can't all be right. So until one of them can prove it's right, it's wise to assume they're all wrong.

I'm gonna say your absolutely right in saying that none is correct, and yes they do contradict each other, sad but true,it won't be a religion that determines one fate, it will be his or her true intentions on their choices that where made in life. That's why it's called free will. Now whether they turn out to be good or bad choices, dosen't matter, it will be your real reasons for doing or saying the things you did or will do in the future, the church is only supposed to be a place to go and worship and pray to God not a conformity of a life style.

Yes, because each religion contradicts each other there can be at most one true religion and given n number of religions there are either n-1 or n false religions.

For sufficiently large numbers of n, you could approximate n-1 to equal n and n is a pretty big number when one considers all the religions and variations of religions we humans have come up.

Organized religion certainly complicates the truth. That's how the evil in this world (Satan) prefers it. The more controversy, the less some are apt to believe there is a truth.

Now what about you. Surely you must believe in something. Is it you that you believe in? Are you your own god? Do you make your own rules? And do you break those rules from time to time? You see, no man can be counted on to be perfect enough to make perfect rules.

Only the God of the bible can make perfect rules. But I break those rules all the time. We all do. They key to Christianity is that Jesus makes us perfect in God's eyes when we are not. We can't do it ourselves.

God knows it is not us that breaks the rules, but the sin nature within us. Again, God knows we're not perfect, yet He does not condemn us if we trust in Jesus.

You ask why people have a belief in one truth. I ask you, how can people believe in more than one truth if they are in conflict?

I think if you study each religion you will find that they are all the same. There is a God so do good for yourself and others and do not harm yourself or others.
There should just be one universal religion. ;)

This is just my opinion but it seems to me that all of the religions promote peace, tolerance and love. It's the people that screw everything up and twist things around to suit their own purposes.

Well said. Not a question as such but I do love a good rant / diatribe.
Points from me because I agree with said rant.

Good point but tru bible students know that the bible teaches about a true religion and it also teaches that false religion exists.
