I would consider Norton to be one of the best sites for your particular need.

How did someone delete your files?
If you are the administrator, set yourself up to open with a password - then at least no one else can access your files.

There were a few times that I accidentally deleted files that I do want to keep (I mean, they were not even in recycle bin any more), and I found this program is useful to help you restore files.

You can download the trial version and see if the program can find your files. Then, you can decide if you want to purchase the software to restore it or not. The program saved my butt a few times.

You can also google "restore deleted files" and you will find some tools that will do the same.

Hope that helps!!

First thing to do is don't write anything to drive D, it will over write the files you are trying to undelete.

Then goto Google and type in "undelete files" I found over 2 million sites with both free and paid for programs (also some very handy info)

before u start worried, klick on the Recicle bin right click for Explore, on other hard drives Recicle bin is being hidden sometimes. Try to find it. Otherwise download a program to undelete

These are some of the results that I got on Google, may be helpful:
www.datadoctor.in/
www.freedownloadscenter.com/Search/data_recovery.html
www.recovermyfiles.com/
www.ontrackdatarecovery.com/data-recovery-downloads/

I've never used one of these before, so I've got no idea abt how effective they are...
