The fact that Martians lack the milk of human kindness is not prima facie evidence that they are lactose intolerant.

You have obviously not read my paper in the September issue of the Journal of Delusional Astrophysics. In it I detail the fact that Martians have two stomachs, and that they insert lactose digesting micro-organisms in the second one, thus making them lactose tolerant.

This is a silly question. I mean, their technology is thousands of years ahead of ours, so I think they can figure out a way using advanced bio-engineering to solve a little problem like this! With so much time on their hands due to their vastly extended life-spans, the simple luxuries in life become important, such as enjoying Ben and Jerry's chunky monkey while on those long flights between galaxies ;)

They could be, If they don't have have milk or milk products where ever they are from their bodies may not tolerate it.
