a friend of mine told me that when she pierced her tongue it didn't hurt and also her friend did it and it was the same. well the hurt after the piercing. i've done it twice and the second time it hurt less than the first because it wasn't as far back. i want to do it it again becuse i took it out but i'm not sure if i can bare the pain again. has anyone else ever pierced their tongue with no pain, what was different?

i can't imagine there was no pain whatsoever - it's a needle going through a muscle with nerve endings, there's always going to be some pain, but different people have different pain thresholds

for swelling etc, it's an idea to suck ice cubes / drink cold water before the piercing. and generally, pick a good piercer, the better they are the less it should hurt (practice makes perfect and all that)

First and foremost consider the reasons why you are piercing your tongue. Many do it for fashion and many do it for sexual enhancement of their partner. Just remember that it is your final decision and consider the long term possibility of health risks.
