Oh God don't say thanks. There's something sad about having to thank someone for having sex with you. Unless it was really great sex in which case you could thank her for the best sex ever. If this is your girlfriend and you've been together a while and feel comfortable with each other, you can say I love you. But not if this is a random you picked up in a club the night before. Unless you want to scare her off.

Your words don't matter. It's all about actions speaking louder than words. It doesn't matter what you say, but make sure it's never selfish, i.e. no sentences starting with I (the subject). If you mention yourself, use yourself as the object (me) and make it all about her. The subject should be "you". . . You make me feel happy, for example, instead of I am happy with you.
"I love you" would be one exception.

Well if it was was say "damn I need a smoke". If it's not just a lay don't say anything just hold each other. If it was bad say "well I gotta be going now".

Don't say "I love you" if you don't mean it. "Thanks" sounds like she did you a favor ( like a mercy f**k). Try, "wow, that was great. When can I see you again?" unless, of course, you don't want to see her again. Then stick with the first part.

say whatever you want, if you love the person, tell them. if it was good, say that was good, or amazing or whatever you feel like. LOL just do NOT say the wrong name or say youve had better!!!!!!
