A lot of people are. I think maybe this is the only place they can "vent". They probably can't talk that way to their boss, spouse, etc. (Not that this makes it right.) I think people should be able to respectfully disagree.

It's hard to tell because the internet does not convey emotion or body language. If you add in different people's personalities and writing styles then a lot of what is on here is subject to misinterpretation. I think we need to step back more and not take anything personally and be careful. I don't take anything too seriously on here. I don't necessarily think anyone is rude. It's the internet. I know that I'm missing a lot of what is being said and it could be the issue or question. If it's political or religious then you are going to get some heated looking responses because those are hot button issues. They always have been.

I think people are generally rude anywhere these days. It's getting worse. Y!A is just another place for people to be rude. There's a lot going down these days, distrust and blame for the current state of the world has to be expressed somehow and somewhere.

Yes and no. Most are not as rude as they could be. But there seem to be some sensitive souls out there. Just remember that the answer you get does not necessarily come from your own country and what is considered neutral in one country may be considered abrupt or even rude in another.

some are i am, but then some ask really stupid questions, like there was one earlier she wanted a phone and she had to type in text talk, what a pain in the ***, so there was everyone taking the mikey so i took the mikey to, i mean if you see a stupid answer your going to answer it stupid, like they say ask a silly question etc, infact why am i answering this one, im answering a stupid question in a way read through other peoples questions and you will see why, but sometimes when it is a real question and you get a stupid or rude answer it can be annoying, very annoying, but otherwise i dont know, bit like real life i guess, you get annoying people so your going to get them on here to, and chat rooms, everywhere they wont leave us, best thing to do is not ask stupid questions good luck with a best answer cause your gunna get a lot of stupid ones here lol

Not the ppl I have contacted....the occassional crazy maybe, but not generally rude, no.
Maybe it's just the way things can be interpreted on here - the written medium is a difficult way to judge if someone is being sarcastic, angry, serious or funny - you may totally misinterpret the mood of the writer.....

No I got some incredibly rude and sarcastic answers for one question but it was a question that wasnt even really serious and people overdid it on the attitude. but mostly they are nice and generous.

Yes. Because sometimes the answers they give disrespect the askers views. Freedom of opinion is good, but you shouldn't slate someone because they do not think like you.
Unless the question is obnoxious then the answers shouldn't be as harsh.

No, not in general,,,there are waaayy too many rude ones, but overall, they are just trying to have a good time.
