Buy a copy of XP, pop in CD, start up,choose to delete old partition...install..

its simple just boot your pc with win xp cd & recreate a partition in which vista is installed & proceed to the next steps example file system type etc, but make sure u have win xp drivers of ur pc otherwise it will be a big problem for you...hope i answer the question

complertely format the drive when you install XP. it will erase all existing data including the OS (Vista) before the installation.
