you can go into the doc and have it tested but the test is one hell of a test to take. i think what is going on with you is normal. i suffer a little from anxiety and am a pretty jumpy person. first of all everyone that knows me knows i am the jumpy one and i admit it. and then i laugh about how silly i am. there have been a few occasions i thought i wasnt going to come back from a thrill or two. my favorite was late at night i was going to my car and this guy waited till i got near his car and sit off his alarm. i about died. littlerly i think.

Heed all the valuable advice already given above. Have an ECG, check out your BP, have a cholesterol test, see if you have arteriosclerosis. This to assure you that you don't have heart disease.

To strengthen your heart. Lay down and turn on your left side with left arm extended over the head. Make a fist with the right hand and place it under you heart on the lateral side. Now breathe deeply, hold you breath and let go. The fist at your side protects the heart from exertion. Take about 20 breaths for the first time. Increase it as you progress.

Next: Sit on a chair. Raise both hands in front of your eyes with open palms facing the face. Dont touch the fingers. Keep them slighly apart. Now imagine that your own internal power (chi) encircles your hands through your chest, through your heart. The chi jumps across the fingers that are kept apart like messages accross a synaptic junction. Keep the chi circulating for about 5 mins. Stare at the space that separates the fingers of each palm. Increase your concentration time as you progress. You should feel some tingling in your heart. You're doing it right when you get that feeling.
Remember in all exercises that you devise for the heart protect it with your hands, elbows or a pillow under the heart.
Oh, yes, cut out fatty foods for a start. Eat a lot of celery and munch on raisins the whole day. A few at a time should suffice.

If you are concerned about your heart, you should discuss it with your doctor.

The best thing you can do for it is moderate exercise. Walking is best. Walk at a rate that you can carry on a normal conversation. You do not want to get out of breath, particularly if you haven't been checked out by your doctor. Improvement takes time, you don't do it in a day or week.

Oh my, you sound nervous, but still, I would talk to your doctor ad eat right and excercise to help the heart muscles. So the Doctor can help you with both. Never over exert yourself. If family doc don't seem concerned, you tell the doc that you want an EKG and especially a stress test. The stress test will definetely say allot. If it comes out normal, then you are OK, but I still would want the EKG. There are cardio vascular excercises but should talk to the doctor before any excercise program. I hope your doctor is up to date on evrything. I really hope you are and will be OK.

A hart is a muscle and therefore needs exercising in order to perform like it should...It is advisable that you contact your physician first, so he might be able to estimate your heart function in order to tell you what kind of recreation suits you best...
