I'm often dizzy, light headed, with a headache. I know I have narrow vessels, what should I do to get my blood pumping if low blood pressure is the case? Exercise, yes, but what types?

Yes, narrowing is an aging process, but it is accelerated by using too much fatty diet, or sugar, so it can cause an early narrowing of blood vessels.
Lack of exercise does not burn fat/cholestrol/sugar in your blood and result is increase in weight, also termed as obesity.
The combined action of the above factors results in premature hypertension, heart disease and kidneys and brain.
SO DO PHYSICAL MORE AND BURN YOUR CALORIES, AND EAT A HEALTHY DIET.
The cause of dizziness can be evaluated by your doctor after checking your BP and running a couple of blood tests, depending on age and family history.
The best exercise is walking as much as possible, however your doctor can guide you about the nature of exercise, keeping you age, height and weight in view.
Don't go for drastic measures as they will be harmful.
Hope answered your question.

Actually you've got it backwards...narrow vessels and lack of exercise cause HIGH blood pressure. Think about it. If your vessels are narrow it's going to make it harder to pump the blood through.

If the problem is that your BP is consistently that low, you should see a doctor. That usually only happens for a long period of time when you're sick, bleeding internally, or have a severe vitamin deficiency.

Your symptoms also sound like it could be from low blood sugar, so maybe you need to go grab a sandwich.

Do you know what your blood pressure is? 120/70 is considered normal. Narrow blood vessels indicate high bp not low. Often times low bp is genetic and can run through families. It is considered favourable to having low bp than high bp. Make sure that when you stand up from a sitting or lying position to do it slowly, otherwise you may feel faint. Eat more lean red meat. Boost up your iron. Eat more protein. Eat lots of green leafy vegetables incl brocolli, spinach, brussel sprouts. It is always good to exercise as this keeps your arteries healthy. No need to overdo it. Walking is great. Half an hour a day is enough as long as you do it consistently.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

You may have low BP, OR you may be anaemic (low haemoglobin), OR have hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) OR other possibilities.

If you have low BP, it may be due to a number of possible causes eg low blood Na+ (sodium) either due to bad diet OR due to hypoadrenalism (low aldosterone levels so that Na+ is not conserved in the kidneys), weak heart (unlikely if you are young), side effects of certain medications (especially if you get dizzy when you stand from a sitting position), etc.

Try drinking squash with half a teaspoon of salt dissolved in it, for a few days, BUT ALSO DEFINITELY SEE A GOOD DOCTOR, who should take a full history and examine you before reaching a diagnosis.

Hope this helps. If not IM me.

narrow blood vessel or in biological term called vasoconstriction
actually, low blood pressure is caused by the lack of vitamin in your blood.it also caused by the lack of exercise.I think narrow blood vessel will make the blood press. increase.

If low bood pressure is really the case, then u'll also b feeling really tired. Take warm water instead of cold water so yr blood can flow better, or warm milo if u have. Avoid any cold drinks if u can, otherwise will slow down blood flow. Also u can cook some nourishin' soup for low blood:

1) Black chicken soup is good tonic for low blood (the wings portion wont help but eating just the drumstick would b gd, shred it to pieces)
- You can cook it with red dates but stew for 2 hrs

2) Beef stew (only the shin portion of beef would help, remove the fats - white stuff - if u can)
- Beef has a strong smell but u can add some onion or ginger to rid of the smell. You can cook it with potatos, carrots & tomatoes for just 30mins. it'll taste delicious.

3) Black bean soup with spareribs
- Black bean also helps low blood, just stew for 30mins will do.

i used to suffer fr low blood pressure, i fainted once & often feel light-headed but now im back to normal after havin' tried the tonic soups esp. the beef stew

what makes you think you have low blood pressure, have you had it checked? dizziness + lightheadedness are signs of low blood pressure but along with the headache this sounds more like anxiety. if your blood pressure is so low that you have symptoms of it then you should not be exercising without seeing your doctor as it is possible you will faint. please see your doctor.
