Yes, an abrupt change of food causes diarrhea. That's why any change of food is always made gradually, over a period of 10 - 14 days, and starting with no more than 10% of the new food. He's too young to be fasted, which would normally be the correct thing to do. Boiled white rice and chicken is very easy to digest and should help him. Feed him 4 small mealsl a day for a couple of days, gradually adding a little bit of dog food into the chicken and rice starting tomorrow. Then when he's back on dog food, make the change gradually. If this continues, he needs the vet. Young puppies dehydrate easily - drinking plenty of water won't be good enough.

i agree the best thing to do would be to provide the puppy nothing but a drink and then after 24hr introduce small amounts of simple food making sure that you keep to the same thing which have a high fibre contents if the problem persists for more than a day or two it is wise to get a vet involved as it could be anything like a bacteria infection or something else internally...
also while maintaining the type of food you are feeding the puppy ensure that it feels comfortable in its surroundings as stress can cause things like what you have...its only 10 weeks old so its probably taking time to settle into the new environment of your home

have you just wormed him, as this can do this to a young pup. Best thing now to do is feed him/her on boiled chicken and rice. Mix a little water with it, so your puppy doesn't get dehydrated. If after 3 days no improvement or it has blood it in, go visit your vet.
Pups can get diarrhoea if you change the food they were on, if they have just came to your home, wormed , stress all these can set it of.
Make sure they get plenty of fluids.
Got luck, hope everything works out fine.

The best thing to do is to take him to the vet for examination. Your dog can be checked for worms and other possible causes of the diarrhea.Should it be dehydrated, it might need IV fluid therapy.

Take him to the vets as he may need some medication. Also try feeding him scrambled egg, rice, boneless white fish. All of these are gentle on his tummy and will help.
Make sure he has plenty of water too and no milk.

He might just have eaten something dodgy of a surface or the floor. See your local vet and she should give you antibiotics for it but might want you to take him back again so she can asses him. Good luck!

Puppies can quickly become dehydrated.. Dehydrated puppies die very quickly. You need to find out why the dog has diarrhea.. You don't just want to get rid of the diarrhea you want to know what's causing it.. Talk to your vet.
