Did Muhammad or Allah know they were believed to be one God? The only thing I see in the Qu'ran is th trinity linked other Gods to Allah as Allah, Jesus and Mary.
Why would Allah not know who the trinty is?
Isn't it interestng that with all of the teaching in the Qu'ran against the trinity it does not explain what the trinity is?
Can anyoen direct me to a sura or hadith that shows Muhamamd even knew the trinity was Father, Son and Holy Spirit and not Allah, Jesus and Mary?

Jillian you are telling me that I do not believe the Father Son and Holy Spirit are one God? Yes Christians who believe in the trinity believe in one god this is another fault with the Qu'ran it does not know this? God would know what the trinity is. The Qu'ran teaches that the trinity i adding Gods to Alalh and does not say who these are that are added to Alalh but Jesus and Mary...Why doesnt Allah know the persons of the trinity? Isn't Allah all knowing?

Dear Muslim friend no one is answering the question but answering other things...
Did allah know the trinity was the Father Son and Holy Spirit? If Allah knew this where might I find this? The Qu'ran spends many pages saying the trnity is bad....couldnt it give one sura saying that the trinity is Father, Son and Holy Spirit? Is there a Hadith that shows where Muhammad understood that the trinity was Father, Son and Holy Spirit?
If not is this a coincidence that Muhammad did not know who was in the trinity and neither does Allah?

Daun, I ahve never reffered to Allah as the moon God my question is did Allah know who the trinity is? Seems if Alalh was refferring to the trinity this much he might have defined it somehwere in the Qu'ran, the closest reference to the trinity would be linking Allah and Jesus and Mary...If this is not what this sura meant fine where can I find the sura that shows Allah knew who was in the trinity?
Is there a hadith where Muhamamad says who is in the trinity?
Seems wiht all the disagreemwnt the only person that is mentioned in the trinity is Jesus...but for the sura that ask him if he told people to worship him and Mary. Seems a bit strange to me that nowhere does it show Allah knows the trinity was Father, Son and Holy Spirit...and apparently nowhere does anything show Muhammad knew this either....If Muhamamd did not know this...it would be no problem...but if Muhammd did not know this and Allah did not know this....makes me wonder...this word came from Allah or Muhammad?

JD...Where? Why would Allah spend so much time saying the trinity was evil and not say who the trinity was? It mentions Jesus and it mentions Mary but not the Father Son and Holy Spirit? It mentions worship of Jesus and worship of Mary but does not say who is in the trinity we are nto to think that Allah thinks the trinty is Allah Jesus and Mary.....So where dos it say who the trinity is? Why would it mention these by name but not the trinity by name?.....now could it be that Muhammad himself did not know?

Daun The Bible does not use the word trinity but definitely refers to the trinity and is where the doctrine of trinity comes from. The Bible does define the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit as God and God as one. Jesus does refer to himslf as The Son and he is also the word as decribed in John 1 who is God.
While the word trinity is not used in the Bible the Doctrine is clear as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and they are one God...this is the only trinity that I am aware of the Qu'ran refers by nae to the trinity but does not state who the parties of this trintity are...My question would be did Allah know? Did Muhamamd know and if so why not explain who the trinity is?

Duan I most definitely do positively believe Muhamamd was not aw guided by any scholar
He confuses times and places in the Qu'ran.
He refers to Mary as Arons sister and has Moses and Noah at the same time. He has Samaritans at the time of Moses...these are not my current question but why if Allah knows who the trnity refers to he mentions Jesus and Mary being worshiped but not the names of the three that would be the trinity unless he is refering to Mary and Jesus as the other two parts of the trinity...If Allah was aware of who the parties of the trinity were he did not say and that is my question....Did Muhamamd know? did Allah know and there is no answer but that we can not be sure.

Skylolo, Thanks brother, the Qu'ran does not define who the parties of the trinity are.
This is my question though we seem to have gone way past my intended question.
It seems obvious to me that Muhamamd was not aware of who the trinity is and Alalh did not explain. How it can be clear that Allah knew is beyond me there is no evidence to prove he did. Seems to me most of the Qu'ran is pointed toward the evils of believing the trinity and Jesus is God so it would seem Jesus is a part of this trinity but the only other refered to is Mary. If this is not the trinity that Allalh was refering to he sure did leave it out. Which makes me wonder did Muhammad know who the parties of the trinity were? again nothing to show he did...When I add this together I myself have to wonder....

They will know the truth on this day of judgement but Christians receve revelation from God through the Holy spirit and have the truth today.
You are correct Muslims will receve this truth on judgment day but Jesus said he is the way and the truth and the life no man comes to the Father but through the Son.
We receve the truth today and have this truth living in us.
Jesus Christ with us today.
It is my prayer that you will accept this truth that he made available to you now not the day of judgment.

Although there are scriptures found in the bible that appear to re-enforce the concept,
You will not find the word "Trinity" in the Bible! If you can please tell me where the word "Trinity" can be found.
"The doctrine of the divinity and personality of the Holy Spirit was developed by Athanasius in the last decades of his life.[21] In 325, the Council of Nicaea adopted a term for the relationship between the Son and the Father that from then on was seen as the hallmark of orthodoxy; it declared that the Son is "of the same substance" (ὁμοούσιος) as the Father. This was further developed into the formula "three persons, one substance." The answer to the question "What is God?" indicates the one-ness of the divine nature, while the answer to the question "Who is God?" indicates the three-ness of "Father, Son and Holy Spirit."
The Council of Nicaea was reluctant to adopt language not found in Scripture, and ultimately did so only after Arius showed how all strictly biblical language could also be interpreted to support his belief that there was a time when the Son did not exist. In adopting non-biblical language, the council's intent was to preserve what they thought the Church had always believed: that the Son is fully God, coeternal with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
There is evidence indicating that one mediaeval Latin writer, while purporting to quote from the First Epistle of John, inserted a passage now known as the Comma Johanneum (1 John) which has often been cited as an explicit reference the Trinity. It may have begun as a marginal note quoting a homily of Cyprian that was inadvertently taken into the main body of the text by a copyist.[22] The Comma found its way into several later copies, and was eventually back-translated into Greek and included in the third edition of the Textus Receptus which formed the basis of the King James Version. Erasmus, the compiler of the Textus Receptus, noticed that the passage was not found in any of the Greek manuscripts at his disposal and refused to include it until presented with an example containing it, which he rightly suspected was concocted after the fact.[23] Isaac Newton, known mainly for his scientific and mathematical discoveries, noted that many ancient authorities failed to quote the Comma when it would have provided substantial support for their arguments, suggesting it was a later addition.[24] Modern textual criticism has since concurred with his findings; many modern translations now either omit the passage, or make it clear that it is not found in the early manuscripts"

well, we can't mix up the two religion. It is so clear in Islam that the God is Allah who created the whole world. Muhammed, Jesus, Moses, Nohs, Abraham, Jacob, Issac, David, Solomon, Josef, Ismael.......etc are only messengers of Allah. They are only human beings.
Allah chooses the holy virgin Mary to be the mother of Jesus with no father but that doesn't mean Allah is the father because God can created anything from nothing as he created Adam. So we can't say Adam is the son of god. This is our believe in Islam.
So that is why we can't compare it with the christian believe of trinity.
Also I think we should ask the Jewish the same question.
I am just explaining I mean no offense to ANY RELIGION.

ALLAH is YAHWEH and ELOHIM or ELAU. Don't try to deceive people by your false and blaspehmeous accusations. Jews also condemn the trinity and call it polytheism, so does that make YAHWEH ignorant of the trinity????!!!! You're so weird!
Listen, irrational fellow, why would the Koran have to state what the trinity is? The Koran condemns the trinity and calls it polytheism; the same as the Torah...and Yes, ALLAH knows that the trinity polytheism most Christians believe in is the Father (YAHWEH), Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit (Archangel Gabriel)....STOP your misguidance, djmantx.
May ALLAH bless me and you, my polytheist friend!
EDIT: The Koran denounced and EXPLAINED the trinity. In Mariam Sura, ALLAH denounces those who say HE begot a son. In another Sura (can't remember the name) ALLAH denounced those who said that there was a relation between ALLAH and the angels. ALLAH describes the Holy Spirit as the Archangel Gabriel. ALLAH calls Gabriel "OUR Spirit" to mean "OUR revelation" or "Our Mercy".
In the Koran, ALLAH says that those who say ALLAH is the third of three are infidels.
You see, the worship of Mary (which is done by the Catholics) was mentioned once or twice in the Koran, but the mention of the trinity and the sonship of Jesus was mentioned many times.
You need to read the Koran with a better concentration and a deeper understanding.

In Colossians a million we additionally see that Jesus created each and every thing, and in John a million:3, and in Rev. 4:11. it fairly is the three in one. In Matthew 28:19 we see that Jesus tells his disciples to baptize in the call of the daddy, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I remember I read in the Bible Jesus said the Father is his God and our God. Since Father=God, can we say that Trinity is God, Jesus and Holy Spirit? I think what you say about Mary refers to when the Quran condemn people who worship Mary, but Quran never specifically mention Mary as part of Trinity. Even today, Catholics still pray to Mary and other saints on top of God. In Islam, praying to somebody, even as an intermediary to God, equals to act of worship.
By the way, Indonesian and Arab Christians worship Allah as well. Maybe you should tell them not to worship the "moongod". Pls provide alternative word for "God" in Arabic as well.
Edit: Victorgal, don't worry, Christians are giving me thumbs down too. Wonder if I can break my thumbs down record today.
Edit again:
Respectable brother in humanity,
Yes, I know which verse you are referring to. The purpose of Quran is not to describe the Trinity, but to clean the names of God and Jesus from something we consider as blasphemy. Worshipping of Mary is only mentioned once while more focus is given to worship to Jesus. Maybe Mary is not part of Trinity but you can't deny the fact that before Protestanism exist, Catholicism is followed by mainstream Christians at that time which allows and practices prayers to Mary. Thus in practice, Christians in Muhammad's times did pray to both Jesus and Mary. Holy Ghost is not mentioned probably due to from our point of view, Holy Ghost only exist in theory, not practice. So, what's the point mentioning Holy Ghost anyway? That surah is all about God, Jesus and his family.
To answer the basic of your question, yes, Allah knows about Trinity but in the Quran Allah simply deny Trinity, not describe it. Even the Bible never describe Trinity as the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. Even such concept never exist in the Bible.
Many Christians argue that Muhammad already knew a lot about Christianity and Judaism based on the fact that Khadijah's cousin was a scholar on Old and New Testaments. Based on this, you argue that the Prophet simply manipulating Christianity with the knowledge gained from Khadijah's cousin. So, do you think after being guided by a NT scholar, the Prophet still has misconception about Christianity. Pls note that by saying this I neither confirm the Prophet was guided by his wife's cousin, nor he use the knowledge to manipulate Christianity.

The whole point of the Koran going against the Trinity is not its going against Trinity but against ANY division of the One God in ANY form, so the division of the One God into the Trinity, and the worship of the prophet Jesus Christ, his mother the Lady Mary separately from God is, in Islamic perspective, little more than reverting to polytheism. And this is seen as heresy, since anything pre-Islamic is seen as invalid, other than Christianity and Judaism, which are accepted as "true" religions, and respected as such, but are seen as being corrupted by their priesthoods.
Allah, Yahweh, and God are all different names for the same thing.
To tell you the honest truth, nobody knows what God thinks.
And frankly, God, if God exists, should be sick and tired of all our bickering over Him by now.
If he is not a She to begin with.
Anyway...Who cares? Be as nice to people as you can. The End.
Everything else is just a lot of talk that too often turns nasty and gets people hurt and killed for no reason.
I would REALLY like to know who really writes all those "holy" books. I mean, they have little or no imagination- 3000 years of the same mishmash and STILL no-one is happier.
