Ok, here is the situation- I am at a restaurant. I eat some wonderful Aegean Wings (Greek version of spiced wings). they are a little greasy, so I got to the restroom to wash up before the main course. Once there, I realize I have to go take a leak. That is the setup.

So, now do I wash first, then wash a second time after taking a leak? Or do I just take a leak and wash once at the end? The obvious answer is that you wash twice, both before and after. But frankly, it seems a little weird to walk into a restroom and wash before going to the urinal. Maybe its just me, but it just seems like other guys would be wondering what the heck I am doing washing before I went and took a leak.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hey ladies.. don't get yourselves all worked up about this. "the_kjores" and Rott understand how it is... they are telling the truth...

I wasn't saying I didn't understand hiegene.. I was just saying.. hey, I don't want to be looked at like some sort of idiot amongst other bathroom patrons...

Looks like it should have been a question for men only...

I would wash twice. Any guy that tries making eye contact with you in the bathroom is fishy. Unless you are looking for a date, who cares what the other guys think.

And this is for the guys who don't know how to pick which urinal to use:

I wash my hands constantly, but I have seen lots of people leave the restroom without washing. I try not to think about it, that is what immune systems are for. Just live life, and wash your hands a few times extra, and it will balance out.

If I had greasy hands, I'd wash my hands before too. I'd get the grease on my clothes if I didn't! I don't really care what other people think; if anyone were looking at me *very* curiously I'd probably say 'wings' or 'ribs' or something as a brief explanation, not because such is truly necessary but just to be pleasant.

I don't think washing your hands in a bathroom is an unusual behavior. Many people wash their hands without going to the bathroom. Especially in a restaurant, I would expect that some people just go in there to wash before eating. Honestly, if someone is wondering why you are doing it and judging you, it's their problem. I don't think you need to worry about it.

Wash twice - any dude who is up in your business enough to wonder why you washed first will either realize the situation or think you are weird - either way it is irrelevant. Personally I would wash twice because I don't want any spices touching my plumbing. I like to eat hot wings, and sometimes those spices can burn!

Wash twice the first time you get spices on a certain spot down there you won't give a crap what the other guys think about you.

Um...spiced wings? You want to get that in the downstairs area rather than risk someone thinking...what?? Wash twice. Wash 10 times if that's what it takes!...get 'em clean.

Why does it matter what the other guys in the restroom think. Its not like you have to impress them. Do what you feel is the most appropriate for you. Naturally you'll want to wash afterward but if your hands are dirty to start with, you might want to atleast wipe them off before touching your clothes or yourself.

Niether. Just do your business and then lick your fingers clean of that yummy Greek spiced grease. Get back to eating your meal and forget about the stain on your jeans.

Who cares what the other guys think. Honestly. I see nothing wrong with washing them twice.
