If I hate someone ( I know I'm not supposed to hate, but I am human) I try to stay away from them. Unless it is something like a doctor if I hate it I stay away from it. Why do you come to clearly Christian questions to force your opinion on us? It seems to me like you are trying to force your anti-faith on us.
If you think forcing your faith is wrong why are you doing it to us?

Some come hear for spewing hate. I have actually read post here suggesting all Christians be killed.
I am not bashing free speech, and yes I witness to people, but only until they tell me to shut up. It is the atheist who push their beliefs by telling us that they have the right to bash us but we can't mention Christ to another Christian on-line without getting yelled at. I enjoy debating people but only if it has a potential of being fruitful. Many just seem to come here with the intent of making others feel bad, and never really pay any attention to anyone else's post. For example this question clearly stated it was only for fanatical atheist that want to kill Christians, but many are acting as if the question is to all atheist. If I for one minute believed all atheist wanted to kill me I would not be married to my atheist husband.
Many people who SAY they are Christian are nasty :(, while every Christian can have a bad day, if they are always mean they are not Christians.

im not a fanataical athiest i just dont believe in any of the religions of the world. ...i have a natural interest in religion and what happens to me after death just like you do.
one other reason that i post in the religion threads is that i want to bring other people to my point of view. i went through a period whre i tried very hard to become a christian but i just found it impossible to believe after taking a serious and honest look at the bible. ....religions have been the cause/excuse for a lot of misery in human history so that is a reason i would like to see people leave their religions. i also care for people and i wish they could be honest enough to admit that religions (all of em) are wrong. i wish people would take responsibility for their own actions and i wish humanity could move forward together towards somethign good.
maybe there is a god. but i dont think its jesus, muhammed, or anyone else. maybe god is some alien scientist? ...maybe we really are here just by some random chance. ...no matter what it is its amazing. so i wish we could all move towards finding that instead of burying our heads in the sand like ostrich's.
i want us all to move forward together.

This is the first time I've posted in the religion forum for awhile, so I don't know how bitter it gets. But I do know that when I started college, my dormitory roommate handed me religious pamphlets, pressured me to join a certain church for the entire year and tried to sit down with me and tell me at least a few times a week that I was going to Hell. That roommate never once asked if I already attended a church, or listened when I said I didn't want to talk about it, and many times my roommate talked about avoiding gays because they were evil-- and said very mean things about a lot of people.
I think a lot of atheists (or agnostics) have experiences like this and grow bitter towards organized religion. I don't like to see very, very hateful comments towards anyone, but many people on here have probably had similar experiences, and there really is something unsettling about being told you're going to Hell every day-- that doesn't sound religious to me; religion should be about love.
As for your statement "I know I'm not supposed to hate," I think that shows that you are looking at it wrong. It's not that you're not supposed to hate, it's that you shouldn't want to hate. You're hurt by the "anti-faith" people's hatred toward you, so now you know how it feels to be hated, and can restrain yourself from so painfully judging others.

I could give a 100 reasons why I'm here, but I need only one: Because I want to be here.
I may not be religious, but that doesn't I don't like to hear other people's views and talk of my own views in a civil manner. This is a religious forum, it does not say you have to be religious to be here.
I don't condone habitual trolls, be it Atheists or someone who is religious.
Anyone that comes on the forum with the sole intention of putting others down and has absolutely no intent of ever having a civil discussion, is a social retard. Most likely a result of poor upbringing.
(It's one thing for people to disagree and at times get a little rude, I'm only referring to those who do nothing but troll.)
Try not to take things so personally, this is the Internet - The last place you should take anyone serious who is acting like an ******.

Assuming you live in a country where the right to worship is free, and I am not aware of any Christian country in the world where it is not, my advice to you would be to simply leave a room or turn a television off if you do not want to listen. I am not Christian but I never feel that I am "made to believe" anything by Christians. The few times a missionary has come to my door in the United States, I simply say in a polite way "Thank you so much, but I am not interested, because my religion is my own business and is not open for discussion". No one has ever forced their way into my house after hearing this.

Luke 2:14
Do not be trouble by non belief. As a Christian we are to teach all nations, not to convert everyone. We present the message and answer any questions. If they don't believe, we move on.
Jesus never tried to convert anyone. When he encountered non believers (this includes atheists), he simply move to the next person. Jesus knew that God would judge.

I believe the category is religion and spirituality. There are many religions that are not christian and there is spirituality without a specific belief in your deity. Do you try to understand others? or only to condemn? Often people are offended by some - not all- who claim the name "Christian" or profess to be saved, but who are judgmental and small minded. Some Christians are equally guilty of trying to force their beliefs on the rest of the world. I would suggest an attempt to understand and tolerance from all sides. In my personal view, the Christian god is a pluralist.many paths back to one divine truth. Namaste

I've never heard of atheists wanting to feed Christians cyanide. Why do fanatical Christians force their opinions on everyone?
LAO haven't heard this theory before I don't believe atheists would want to waste their time on people who think this way.

if you think the opinion is being forced upon you maybe you're just afraid that your conscious mind 's rational side is urging you to ante up on the truth. the truth is what is forceful not the messenger.
There really is not coercion involved with mere words over the net unless you see the need to grant them authority . this is what is called having a qualm of conscience for the truth.
no one is threatening you with hell fire or putting a gun to your head .

I really don't care what faith you are. I certainly wouldn't want you to change. What you believe is fine with me. To tell the truth, I haven't seen anyone forcing there faith. Opinions yes, but not trying to force someone to change. Do you feel our opinions, what we feel are not valid, Do opinions scare you a little?

Huh? What's with all the religious backlash today? We don't come in and spew hate, we come in and bring forth a straightforward, if blunt, secular outlook. It's what we know is the truth, instead of pasting half the Bible's worth of scripture into all our answers like a lot of Christians do.
