I don't know what my family will think, or exactly how religious they are. Some of friends support me and are intrested as well. I am just curious on how to get started. Preferably before Sahmain,(haloween).
Thanx!

Ok. thanks to all. And I have seen a website wicca.com IDK if that is good or not. I am Christian ( I guess). I just know that I believe in God and know that Jesus died for us. Do I have rid those beliefs to be Wiccan, or not?

Sooo...for Sahmain... would it be better for me to go somewhere instead of holding it with my BFF in my backyard.
I admit I have no idea about any of this but I do know that I am intrested, I want to learn more, and I am open to any suggestion you all may have for me.
Stores and shops (Peidmont, NC) where I could go get good books would be great too.
Thanks and Blessed Be ( i think that right?)

I would not recommend wicca.com. That website deliberately conflates Wiccan and Celtic beliefs. Wicca is not Celtic.
You said "I just know that I believe in God and know that Jesus died for us," and that means you're *NOT* Wiccan. Wicca teaches self-responsibility-ONLY YOU can die for you. Wicca is polytheistic, there is more than one god, and in Traditional, Gardnerian Witchcraft, those who abandon the path of the true are left to your Christian god for punishment.
Christianity is not a BAD religion, it's just not Wicca.
I'm guessing what you're really interested in is MAGIC. Wicca and magic are not the same things.
For Christian magic, I recommend the following things:
The Magical Writings of Thomas Vaughan
http://www.amazon.com/Magical-Writings-Thomas-Vaughan/dp/0615149014/ref=ed_oe_p/102-0572957-4316926
The Key of Solomon
http://www.amazon.com/Key-Solomon-King-Clavicula-Salomonis/dp/159605963X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-0572957-4316926?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191596463&sr=1-1
Ancient Christian Magic
http://www.amazon.com/Ancient-Christian-Magic-Marvin-Meyer/dp/0691004587/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-0572957-4316926?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1191596525&sr=1-1
Saying you want to get into Wicca but you don't want to bother with our gods is offensive.

Please stay away from Silver Ravenwolf. Not only are her books full of inaccuracies and focus more on the magic side rather than the spirituality but her ethics are completely horrible. Scott Cunningham is a better author, and I also recommend starting with any other books on the wicca.timerift.net site that are on the recommended reading page. Wicca isn't something you can "just start" though. It requires study, practice, and a lot of patience. It's not something you can just dive into and be totally involved in less than a month. Why do you want to get it done before Samhain anyway? Is it because of the Wiccan festivities you wish to experience (some Neopagan groups actually hold public celebrations for that) or is it because you wish to be cool for Halloween and spook all of your friends and other people? If the latter, you might want to look elsewhere.
As for your family, it's up to you, but the best thing to do with them is to be open and honest about your interests. You might be surprised at their reactions. I was.

Wicca is one of many forms of witchcraft and the Bible strictly forbids practicing witchcraft.. You were apparently not taught that in Sunday School. Or maybe you just ignored the many parts of the Bible that condemn it?
You have to pick one over the other. They simply just do not mix because they are two very, very different religions! Christianity does not honor or acknowledge the Goddess in any way, and Wicca does not honor or acknowledge the Christian god in any way.
However, there are so-called "christian wiccans" but their belief system (if you can call it that) is a blatant contradiction and a joke. Also, they are shunned by Witches and Christians alike.

1, dont rush it. it is good to be excited about learning. but there is a lot to learn. and it is better to learn right and have a gunewine spiritual path, than to learn wrong and have nothing ov any real value.
2, read Scott Cunningham. he is a Wiccan Author that writes some very informative books.
3, check out witchvox.com for pagans and witches near you. it is good to have another person to help you out.
4, as far as family is concerned. that is up to you. i would say that if you really are not sure, to sit down and ask them what their religious views are. and explain that you are interrested in religions and their different teachings. and ask them how they would feel about you exploreing some alternative religions.
if they do not like the idea. then jsut wait untill you are 18 and then begin exploreing on your own.

Check out the hyperlinks underneath. Witchvox is a well location to discover a organization. I strongly suggest in opposition to an man or woman trainer. You haven't any method of understanding the fine or integrity of the instructor or the educating. You are higher off finding out for your self. Personally I'm no longer keen on Wicca. There are different pagan paths which can be more secure and extra moral, chiefly for the newbie. You can get an outline of them on the third hyperlink underneath. The 4th hyperlink is a video of my tribe in movement. We are non secular alchemists.

I highly recommend the book "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham as a good starting point.
I also recommend this website (especially the book reviews):
http://wicca.timerift.net
Whatever you do, stay away from Silver Ravenwolf -- her scholarship is shoddy and her morals are questionable.
http://wicca.timerift.net/ravenwolf.shtml
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
EDITED TO ADD: Christianity and Wicca generally don't play well together, for reasons outlined in the following article:
http://wicca.timerift.net/christianwicca.shtml
The belief systems are simply incompatible. For one thing, Wicca lacks an "original sin" concept... so why would we need a Savior?

If you are under 25 read books by Silver Ravenwolf. Over 25 read Scott Cunningham. Both will give you a very good overview and enough to get you started. It is important to learn the morals involved- "An it harm none; do what thou wilt"
I have been a Witch for 8 years. Best thing I ever did was to begin this path. I always knew I had 'different' beliefs, it just took me a long time to put a name to it because I grew up in the Bible Belt. Try www.witchvox.com too for great local info and listings of events in your area! Good luck & Blessed Be.

I used to be Wiccan. I can teach you everything you need to know.
Wicca is a religion concocted by a man named Gerald Gardner in England circa 1950. Prior to Gardner, there was no Wicca. Gardner's original Wicca seems to have been little more than an excuse for him to be tied up and beaten by strong willed women, according to Adian Kelly, a Wiccan traditionhead and author of "Crafting The Art of Magic".
