Lacto vegetarianism - No

isn't amazing that on a site for vegetarians, you ask a simple yes or no question, and you can not get a start answer. and people wonder why meat eaters get frustrated trying to fix a meal for a group that includes a couple of vegetarians. there are no set rules, they all make them up to fit what they want.

Yes, you may eat eggs and call yourself a vegetarian. You may NOT eat eggs and call yourself a VEGAN Vegans don't eat eggs, but vegetarians do.

Vegetarians also consume dairy products (milk, cheese, ) But vegans do not.

It depends on the type of vegetarian. Some simply say 'No meat... anything else goes'. This type have no problems eating eggs since it isn't meat. Others say 'No meat or meat products'. This type won't eat meat or anything from meat, which includes eggs, milk, cheese, etc

I'm not an expert on this, but I think it's vegans who don't eat eggs (because it came from an animal), but vegetarians can.

Well, the egg is an unborn chicken, so I wouldn't think a real vegetarian would ethically be able to eat it in good conscience.

do some research on google.com or something. ask people that you know are vegetarians. i know that there are different levels of vegetarianism. some don't eat eggs, some don't drink cow's milk but drink soy milk, some won't eat dairy products like yogurt, cheese, etc.

eggs are a great way to get protein. being against the eating of eggs and drinking milk is veganism. and if you are worried about killing an embryo or something, they actually segregate the hens, so the eggs you buy and eat are completely infertile anyways
