Tom,
The medications they prescribe are a fairly standard regiments depending on your condition. They may use different "brands" but it same basic groups. The medications they prescribe are based on survival rates.
When you start taking these medications, it will take you some time to get used to them. There are also medications that they cannot start you out on the full dosage. You should keep notes on how you feel and report it to your doctor.
Sometimes, some people cannot tolerate certain medications. For example, I could not take Coreg. They fooled with my medications for weeks/ months and I kept getting worse. Then they dropped Coreg and I sprang back to life overnight. ( This was after the doctor telling me my organs were shutting down and there was nothing he could do about it).
The point is to pay close attention to your body and report. There are hundreds of medications that can be used for your regiment. The objective is to find the ones on which you feel best.
Get a week pill organizer. It helps you keep up with it. You do not want to accidently take two of some of the medications, or skip a dose. Get pill organizer even if you only take a few pills.
I also suggest you go to Cardiac Rehab if you can. They pay very close attention to medications and will report any problems you may be having to your Doctor. It's worth it's weight in gold.

Sorry to hear Hun! I'm very surprised to hear they gave you a choice! My hubby had a heartache last Feb. and they gave him no choice in the matter. He was put on about 6 or more different pills at that time but now is down to only a few. He received a stint. What are the medicines they have talked to you about and the differences. I think your question would be answered properly knowing these details.

First of all what kind of heart attack did you have? second what are the meds? and third why ask a bunch of armatures when your cardiologist has had at least 6 years of schooling . If you don't trust him get a second opinion.

You probably need more than a couple of meds. Some corrective procedure (bypass, stint, angioplasty) then follow with a couple of meds.

Your vet must have already provided to placed him down a lengthy time period in the past because he's of direction suffering. i understand this is going to likely be troublesome to ask your vet to finish that, besides the undeniable fact that this is going to likely be plenty better to have him despatched to sleep instead of him suffering as he's now. i wish you heal quickly or that your puppy receives better quickly.
