Yes I am afraid their is and we do not do it. You need to inhale through your nose as far down, deep as possible filling up both lungs completely and then exhale out through the mouth slowly. That way you are filling up the lungs right down to the bottom, rather than just the shallow breathing we all get into a habit of doing and then wonder why we succumb to chest infections. By exhaling slowly you give extra time for the oxygen you just inhaled to really be absorbed into the blood, whereas shallow breathing does not allow sufficient time so you need to take another shallow breath. Part of the reason we Yawn is because its our bodies way of telling us we need extra oxygen. Later on in life, 60 onwards good breathing techniques can save your life so start it now.

Yes and no, depends what you are up to, in through nose and out through mouth filters out any breathed in debris for your nasal hairs sinuses to deal with so they dont go directly into your lungs.
However if you were singing, or doing any kind of sporting activity or having a panic attack the rules change a bit.
breathing from your diagphram is good for your posture and for singing and controlled breathing is good for sporting excercises and singing, shorter shallower ones for panic attacks etc.
You are still with us so you must be doing something right!

They say you must use your diaphragm but I don't believe there is a rule. You are free to breathe at least.

not really, but I know that if your running/walking, its best to breath in your nose and out your mouth so you won't get tired so easily.
