HPV is a great example of a disease that affects women far worse than men. Yes, men can get HPV symptoms, but it is rarer for men to have symptoms than for women to have them.

When women catch HPV, they can catch strains that will cause them to develop cervical cancer. It's cancer. It can kill you.

Men could develop certain cancers as well, but it is far less common. Instead, men carry the virus silently and are totally oblivious to having it. Then they have sex and spread it to lots of women. Some of those women can develop warts or cancer (depending on the type of HPV). Thus, HPV is a disease that is carried by men, but suffered by women.
