Say you're testing for anaemia.. Can you tell from that test if i person is H.I.V positive or is that a different test??

It normally does not test for everything but only the things asked for. So if you or your doctor want to check for HIV then tell the lab and they can use some of the same blood. They will not find it if they don't know to look for it.

It is a different test. Every test has requirements for what kind of tube of blood to collect, and then specific equipment used for testing. One sample can't do it all! Abnormalitites in one test, like a CBC for anemia, might make you suspect other problems and do further testing, however.

Different test.
Different tubes are used to test for different things - purple are used for blood counts, red for chemistries, blue for clotting factors, and a different one for HIV.
All tests must be ordered by the doc, and transported in the correct tube for that particular test. [ there are probably about 16 now! ]

there is a diffeerance... when you get the blood test you have to ask the doctor for the aids test also with out your permission he cant check for it on his own

no/ blood tests /are for/ various tests/ example/HIV test /will not /tell you/ if /you have/ syphilis /get my drift
