Why do people feel the need to get into the V & V section and argue about how great it is to eat meat? Isn't there another section like hunting or something that is more suitable for them?

These people are mostly trolls "you know the types" that lurk in this section all day and criticize vegs.
(I think that there is bickering in the Religion and Spirituality and the Society and Culture groups too.)
People should at least consider that vegetarians are not crazy. It's our preference! I dont criticize people for eating meat either. I wonder if there is a hunting section or even better a page that's like "Meat processing or slaughterhouses" where they can all get together and chat! :)
These people are just annoying.

Yes, try Religion and Spirituality. They argue a lot over there.

There used to be more people in Mental Health who argue that there's no such thing as mental illness, but there aren't as many of them anymore. There are some jerks who pretend to be doctors or give insulting remarks to people talking about committing suicide and so on.

I'm not sure why people come here and say how wonderful meat is. Just to be annoying, I guess. Also, they can usually get away with it because vegetarianism is not a "protected" group like races, religions, lesbian/gay, or people with disabilities.

idk--there wouldn't be so much arguing if people came in here and asked real questions that they wanted to know, not just dumb meat-eating questions that have nothing to do with it.

i think the LGBT section has a lot of arguing too, for the same reason only people go on and say that it's wrong to be gay and stupid things like that. religion and spirituality also has a lot of arguing--basically any sections that are personal choices, people like to go in and make fun of people.

You will have this in just about any forum where there is a difference of opinions. People can't stand it when people do not agree with them. People in this section are guilty on both fronts of the meat/veggie issue.

Try hanging out in the gay and lesbian section for a little while. We are attacked at least hourly by religious nuts who are telling us we are crazy, possessed by demons or going to hell. Throw in a little "love the sin but hate the sinner" and you get the picture. It's utter madness.

It is extremely sad.. I see a few reasons for it

1. VERY low IQ
2. People who have a low IQ or whose mentality is in the stone age, dislike or fear anyone that is "different" They see Vegetarians as "Different" and dislike them.. so they come on our forum to simply annoy us..
3. Some of the dislike of vegetarians is backlash from the few ultra preachy PETA people who harass meat eaters. Some meat eaters, again having a low IQ and narrow mind, stereotype all Veggies/vegans as annoying, and that's why they hate us so much..

Me-troll: It does not make me a hipocrite because there is a clear-cut definition of vegetarian and I am simply trying to stop confusion on that point.. Anyone who reads my answers, the kind you were talking about, can see this. The same can not be said for your ranting, and you can not convince me that your purpose is the same as mine.. It is very obvious from your Q;s and a's on this forum that you are here to make trouble..

Politics & Government, Religion & Spirituality are both hot spots! The difference is that you expect arguments in those areas, not in food and drink.

Yes, and religion and politics are both better forums for most of the Vegan posts, too.
