Can a bottom number of above 90 cause some dizziness and weird headaches sporadically, not constant.

I have gotten my blood pressure down to that from walking and watching sodium, thanks :)

To the poster: hey I'm doing pretty good then, I don't smoke or drink caffeine...

For the other poster, I'm a mellow personality already...do you think that will help? :)))) Thanks to you both so far....

I drink tons of water, I'm not stressed, I have just seen a doctor, but not one that monitors bp only checks it. My previous bp reading was taken a month prior in a drug store and it scared me. It WAS 155/102...that got me walking and watching my sodium.

Thanks all :)

I think there is not so much to worry about but your Lower reading is not appreciated, do a manual check rather than that electronic stuff. OK
Continue your routine, it will come to 80, are you experiencing some stress? What was the initial before starting the exercise. Drink water and increase the length of walk gradually.
Take one garlic piece daily with honey, also cut sugar in your diet.
Best of luck.

For your age, yes that is high. You're systolic should be around 120. If you continue to have that blood pressure for a month or so, yes it could be a problem. Doctor visits usually cause stress which will elevate your blood pressure, but only by a few numbers usually. I would monitor your blood pressure daily to see if it's always that high. Next time you see your doctor, ask him what you should do.

'Normal' blood pressure reading is 120/80. A diastolic (bottom) reading over 90 could cause some dizziness and headaches. Your sporadic high BP's could indicate high blood pressure and you need seriously to be evaluated by a physician. Tell the doctor about your high readings, your dizziness and your headaches. Exercise and watching sodium are good things but you may need some medication also. Good luck to you.

The systolic number reflects the force of the blood on the artery walls with each pulse.

The diastolic number reflects the pressure against the artery walls when the heart rests between beats.

Your systolic is fine, but the diastolic is about 50% too high, based on your systolic number. There are all sorts of chronic diseases that cause a high diastolic pressure, and none of them good. I think it's time to see your doctor.

The top number (systolic) is fine, but the bottom number (diastolic) is borderline. Avoid caffiene, nicotine, cut down on salt, and exercise. This should help keep your b/p down. Usuall it's a very high systolic number >170-180 that gives people symptoms.

The top number is perfect. But the bottom number is borderline high. I would suggest you take it easy and get your pressure down.
