Most people have their initial outbreak of genital herpes anywhere from 2 - 20 days after being infected with the virus. For some people it can take months and even years before they have their first outbreak though. It really just depends on the individual person.

If you think you may have contracted genital herpes then see a doctor and get tested. Genital herpes is usually diagnosed by a physical examination and a fluid sample from the sores. A pap smear is sometimes also given. If a person is not having an outbreak though then they can be tested with a blood test.

Good luck and take care!

Signs and symptoms

While some people realize that they have genital herpes, many do not. As many as 90 percent of people with Genital Herpes are unaware that they have the virus. This is because many people have very mild symptoms that go unrecognized or are mistaken for another condition or no symptoms at all.
A person may show symptoms within days after contracting genital herpes, or it may take weeks, months, or years. For this reason, it can be difficult for people to know when and from whom they may have contracted the virus.
The “classic” symptoms that most people associate with genital herpes are sores, vesicles, or ulcers, but for many other people, herpes lesions can be so mild that they may be mistaken for:
Insect bites.
Abrasions.
Yeast infection.
Jock itch.
And other conditions.

you may be infected with herpes, but have no symptoms at all. Usually it will show up when your immune system is down. Do you have any cold sore around ur lip or face? Most people are carriers for Herpes. Therefore, I dont think you should worry about it that much unless u r immunologically compromised. Herpes II might affect the area below ur waist where as Herpes I will affect ur the area above ur waist.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/herpestreatments2015plLw

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Hi :-)
SEE A DOCTOR ASAP!!! . Usually, the infection causes groups of small, painful blisters. The fluid in the blisters may be clear or cloudy. The area under the blisters will be red. The blisters break open so easily that they quickly become open sores. You may not ever notice the blisters. Besides having tender blisters or sores in your genital area, it may hurt to urinate. You may run a fever and have other flu-like symptoms. Or you may not have any symptoms at all. My advice is to see your doctor as soon as possible and PLEASE protect yourself!!!
