Your sexuality is not effected by the food you eat.
In fact, to make a judgment that being vegetarian is somehow an inherit trait of being homosexual is completely erroneous.
If you want to be a vegetarian do so without the fear that you're magically going to "switch teams"

I don't think there is a correlation between diet and sexual orientation. Do you have proof(ie-studies, research, journal articles, etc) that back this statement up? There are no statistics that give the actual amount of vegetarian population(that are official sources) from what I have seen, so how could there be statistics to say amount which are homosexual.
This seems like a "statistic" taken from some JoeSomebody's website or "that's what I've heard" information that has no basis in fact.

I honestly don't know any gay vegetarians. Most of the vegetarians I know are very religious Hindus or members of ISKCON (Hare Krishna) (which is influenced by Hinduism). They are rather conservative about sex.
My wife has a coworker who we have socialized with occasionally. She claims to be vegetarian (although she eats fish and chicken) and she may be in a same sex relationship with another woman. Her personal life is none of our business, but we don't consider her vegetarian.
PS: Notice how Skully has no evidence that this study of vegetarian impaired sexual performance ever really happened, and he can't even remember the name of the university. Very telling, I'd say. I guess that means he's going to get best answer.

Changing your diet does *not* change your sexual orientation or my relationship would have fizzled out *years* ago. Also, some of my gay friends have had the same "But, why?" attitude about my being veg as many of my hetero friends have. I'm blessed to live in a fairly open-minded community & I know several gay persons & also several vegetarians. *Very* few of the ppl I know happen to be both gay & veg.

Our place is regularly packed out with veggies and we've never have a gay couple stay.
This seems disproportionate to the general average, we would have expected a few same sex couples by now.
Also, our local resturant is run by a gay couple and they will not serve vegetarian meals. So from my little world, it seems gay people are more likely to be meat eaters.
I don't know any gay vegetarians, but i do know a few gay meat-eaters.
Skully appears to have erroneously included the word "telling" in the end of his answer. How did s/he possible remember all those details and "forget" which university it was ?

I'm a gay female, I am an omnivore. I eat just about anything, except parsnips. I know only a couple of gay veggies and a lot of straight ones in fact proportionally more straight than gay friends are veggie. Lo xxx

No.. in fact I know far more omnivourous gays and straight vegetarians/vegans. Of course everyone's experience is different, location may have a bit to do with it, ie- are you in San Fransisco? (I throw that city out there because it is very diet-concious and very gay-friendly.) Whereas I'm in the Detroit area and it's pretty much one of the least diet-concious areas in the US..

Um well I don't think eating veggies affects your sexuality, though I guess caring about animals is sterotypically associated as being quite feminine but to be honest, the veggies I know are all straight! Nowadays, its ok for men & women to worry about what they eat- I wouldn't associate it with your sexuality at all.

I think the two are related if, for no other reason, because people who QUESTION the mainstream and status quo (such as the idea that eating meat is morally acceptable) are by their very nature going to "question" if they are in fact heterosexual.
One is not the cause of another, but it's the same questioning mindset that I believe leads to both.
